Lanterns was almost purely human drama, and everyone was written like they were in a human drama. Compare the disguised aliens in that show to how quirkier and eccentric the AIs are in their human form.

He is still actively out there throwing himself at the hardest targets out there. He's not a-tier, b-tier, and even c-tier is a stretch, but he's got balls. And everyone knows these kind of dudes punch above their weight class constantly so there's a possibility he pulls it off.Now that I'm older and wiser I identify with Paladin. He's a grinder. He's a 9-5'er in the deadliest profession possible. And at the end of the day, there's a reason people bring him on. He doesn't say no. He doesn't say "That's too hard." He was told to take down Vision, and that's exactly what he's going to do. He has to get creative.
