Do you shade, /co/?
>>155989567yes actually it's something I learnt long ago and It makes all the difference nglthe key is just thinking BLUE for darker areas and YELLOW for lighter areas then just mix it up until it looks nice
>>155989567Only if I’m being paid full feature money
>>155989567https://x.com/R3nderLab/status/2112669673321824547
>>155989567Why is /co/ just full of reposts from Twitter now? Also this slop.
>>155989640Yeah lets instead talk about how drawings make your virgin dick hard or e-drama or politics or trannies.Fuck off.
>>155989567How the fuck do you give drawing advice with AIslop?
>>155989638Woah, i knew Dexter always had a big mind, but a big head too?
>>155989684>or e-drama or politics or trannies. That's most twitter threads though, why are you pretending you're any different?
>>155989684>You don't like A?>THE ONLY OTHER OPTION IS THAT YOU MUST LIKE B, C THROUGH Z DON'T EXISTWhat compels a man to be this autistic?
>>155989715It's an image from Twitter about cartoon shading, not a random retard saying retarded shit with a tiny correlation to comics or cartoons..
except there are numerous scenes in dexter's lab where black shadows accentuate the mood
>>155989567Why does the first one have an X? In just basic appeal alone that example looks better than the right...
>>155989739It's not even a good image anon.
>>155989567As if we needed any more evidence files with this naming convention come from Indian bot farms. Also I fucking hate how AI phrases all text in images like it's hosting some corpospeak presentation trying to sell you an idea.
>>155989567>black boots>blue bootsalso a slightly different palette to cheat trying to make a point.
>>155989567This is so silly and meaningless. Neither of these approaches is "bad" shading. The type of shading meant to be shown in the example on the left isn't "more dull" it carries a more dour expressive tone to it. Meanwhile the one on the right is less serious. Both are valid techniques- when done by people and not machines I mean. Whoever made this sloppa is a goddamn moron, so fuck them, fuck you OP for reposting Bangladeshi twitter engagement bait garbage here, and hell fuck ME too for wasting time responding to this at all.
>>155989567Never used to. My old shit looks so bad, but I also never would have finished if I'd been putting in the real work back then. It was pragmatic to be so slapdash.>>155989582unless the lighting is different, of course. Which it pretty rarely is.>>155989638What is this even from? He never, ever looked like this in the show, either before or after Genndy. Both in terms of the art, the dynamism, and his head not being flush with his torso.
>>155989694Reckon you do it like this, anon.>>155989763Reckon that's what the image is saying, anon. Do it when you want to feel dull and dramatic. Also: I think you're thinking of solid BLACK shadows, not gray.
>>155990231>What is this even from?A slop generator. How the fuck can you not tell?
>>155989567>>155989638Oh boy another fan that thinks they know better than the fucking showrunners... I shouldn't have to explain how fucking stupid this shit is but hey what else am I gonna do?1. Shading is entirely dependent on what the fuck you're doing. Hell black shadows are dynamic and may be more appropriate than color shadows. At the same time shadows may need to be specific colors to emphasize a scene. Any retard making the argument that one shading color fits every situation isn't an artist.2. What the fuck is this nonsense? No, completely ignoring character models to utilize a safer and easier design to animate is not some sort of flex. There are dozens of creative alternatives to get flowing arcs in your animation with a blocky character. You can easily distort them to compensate, that's the great thing about animation is you can do that.Fuck these pseudoartists that act like they know anything.
