What's a good starting point to get into the GL comics? I've always put off getting into either of the big 2 but I want to change that.

The Action Comics Weekly GL stories are good too. That was the period in time where Action Comics became an anthology book again and GL was one of the featured characters.

I read everything on that list before Rebirth came out and when Rebirth DID come out, I was really excited for it and loved pretty much all of John's run - reading each issue each month as they came out. I can understand not liking Emerald Twilight, but both Emerald Dawn series hold up well. I mean, I do prefer Secret Origin overall, but I love the Hal/Sinestro stuff in Emerald Dawn II.
