>Moana and Frozen are allowed to get shitty sequels (in the case of Moana, one rushed out in less than a year to satisfy shareholders)>Encanto just gets a theme park ride and a stage show, and no sequel even discussed
>>155996655Movie wasn't as good as the first 2. Simple as.
>>155996655The problem is what do you do with the sequel to that movie?I actually think more of these movies should have mid budget TV shows instead of unnecessary sequels.
>>155996655The reason that got reported before is for whatever reason Lin-Manuel Miranda directly told them he would not work on a potential sequel until after this film got a theme park attraction However it is nice to not have yet another sequel franchise instead of new stuff
>>155996698That explains why they are crowbarring a ride into a park it has nothing to do with, then.
>>155996655>encan2 LOL!
>>155996655And the reasons are obvious:Moana and Frozen had villains and conflictEncanto was family therapy: The Movie.
>>155996666Hi Oney
>>155997740Rent-free, loser
Moana one was a cancelled TV show.
>>155996655Apparently they now forbid the DTVA unit to make shows based on the 2020s movies making Tangled and BH6 as the last movies to get proper TV shows.
>>155996655Encanto already sucked, so they can't lower the bar any further with a sequel
>>155996655Frozen II was NOT a "shitty sequel!"
>>155996655The Frozen sequel came out way too late to ride the hype of the original, Moana 2 was a over-correction.Neither had cultural impact, I don't even know the plot of Moana 2, and I haven't seen Frozen 2 either.
I don't know why but my mind change encanto with tangled, which is the superior nu-disney film.Anyway, no Disney movie need a sequel, maybe Lion King going like Jojo/The Phantom/Dragon Valor and every sequel being for one Simba descendant, but if they can't let Woody and Buzz go,....
>>155997953>Encanto already sucked bait
>>155999249The problem with Lion King is that they did make a sequel and a spinoff series. The sequel is... a sequel. Decent, but not as good, and doesn't justify the existence of a franchise by itself. The Lion Guard on the other hand already adds a lot more lore to the universe, but makes it so detached from the tone of the original series that following it would jar audiences I'm not talking about it being a baby show either, I mean the fact that they introduced lore for what's basically a magic system.
