Why does the logo remind me of the logo for Aron Beauregard’s novel Playground?

I cannot imagine watching this show past the first episode and genuinely thinking it's going to be some particularly deep masterwork of narrative and emotional storytelling. The show goes out of its way to repeatedly tell itself "it's not that deep", and all sense of mystery and intrigue is just bog standard mystery and intrigue no one gives a fat shit about in typical cartoons that are more character focused than setting.

I binged that show last weekend. It was okay, but I don't get why people made such a big deal out of it. It had some fun characters and particularly voice acting, but the pacing was pretty questionable and the character development really lopsided. I have no idea why it became so big, I expected something more interesting.

Let me tell you how TADC should have ended. So it starts out with the players finding out that they're copies, and they're all bummed out because they think they're stuck in a dying simulation. But then SUDDENLY! It turns out that Scratch was also building sweet robot bodies, and he was actually planning to transfer his mind into one of them, and uploading his mind into the digital realm was just meant to be a temporary solution, and also the robot bodies can shapeshift to look like the players' digital avatars. So they escape the Circus that way, and they find out that their human selves are living their lives and they've gotta sort that shit out, and then Doc Brown shows up in the DeLorean and says they've gotta go BACK TO THE FUTURE with him because something's gotta be done about their kids, and then the Imperial March starts playing and a big Rick & Morty portal opens and Thanos flies in on a Death Star with two smaller Death Stars attached to make it look like Mickey Mouse, and Thanos looks directly at the camera and says "I'm coming for you, Redditors." Then everyone starts jerking each other off and shitting in each other's mouths, Roger Ebert rises from the grave and declares TADC to be the greatest cinematic masterpiece in history, and all of the buses start clapping. Not the people in the buses, no, I must clarify that the buses themselves are clapping. The actual vehicles. They're just standing on their back wheels and slapping their front wheels together like seals.

core thread goose built the story around was a fairly bare it all go through of a kind of internal social panic aggression spiral leftists have yet to figure out hetero white men completely lack vulnerability to.
most of the audience completely missed the big emotional beats of the story enough they just completely missed the story building up to that at all.
even the women gays and browns that kind of story could resonate with would rarely have the emotional maturity to actually catch it and realize its a problem rather than the usual wholesale commitment to immediate stupid violence.
there are very few people who could have written this.

good number of the other ones would have realized you'd pretty much have to dial the whole damn thing up to 11 to even begin getting a topic like this through the general public's skulls.
and recognizing the actual depth of the writing just really shows how goose really should have heel turned on this sooner.
by the time of pomni coming in the entire rest of the cast is so god damned done with jax's shit they dogpile him asap first chance.
which really just smothers that core thread goose clung to even further and should have been caught earlier mystery and horror threads were still hella strong even with the neglect.

but yeah goose got an artistic nightmare scenario of pouring their soul in a project and getting too deep to pull out but short of actually facing their inner demons enough to get what it working would take.

caines bit actually worked at least as careless as he was shown a shitload of people are both that bad and turn other people being mad about it into justifying all kinds of shit.

the cast kinda just kept harping on caine long past the point it should of been obvious he was either completely failing to get what they actually wanted, lacked the capacity to let them out, or actually was keeping them there.
given what we saw under the candy canyon kingdom and in caines deletion kinda seems like way the whole places works environment and file system overlap such all the secrets of the place would have to exist as actual objects in the circus.
