In the series he got about, 50 chapters, to act like a proper villain. But during that all of his plans fall through and his agents all job as he says it's "moumantai" and fine. When he finally manages to corner the new mc and his mentor to kill them both it's revealed that the old mc survived and he and another guy effortlessly kills his men and beats the shit out of him, he has to crawl away when they aren't looking. Further ahead it's revealed (in a plot holeish way) he's the reason the old mc is even alive (his job), so he helped his own downfall there. In the next arc he's bunked together with another guy from the trio, and that guy just constantly talks shit to Xia Ji and often beats him up for his own ego and enjoyment. So Ji spends about 80 chapters with that guy until they go off and die in their own fight. Leaving Ji alone, which then two legacy characters show up and beat the shit out of him, snap his joints and hit pressure points in his neck and shit, straight torture. It's revealed his elite fighting force (more than 10 guys) got offscreened by two guys and he's all alone with no help. Eventually he manages to LITERALLY crawl off again with broken limbs and a bruised body. After a time skip it's revealed his evil organization dropped him and he's been homeless ever since, so several years. Until said organization contact him and threaten him under death to go an suicide attack his past target. It's revealed that his brother (who hates his guts, obviously) is the leader of his old organization and only really came by cause he hates his hobo guts (obviously). Also he's the one that gave Ji the job to work on cause he was so incompetent, arguably his brother later performs the job worse. 1/2

The new MC get's pissed and thinks if he should even spare Ji, but the old MC calms him down and tells him not to worry about that trash. Also, it's revealed that the "goos guys" knew Ji was homeless and were just monitoring him being a hobo all that time. So in the end he's let off to be a hobo again, or an informant, it's a plothole in a poorly written series, he hardly shows up ever again. His final chapter includes the backstory of everyone considering him a pathetic loser, and his brother sending him off, as he cries about it. This all happens in 9 chapters. it's nasty work, and supposedly by his bio it was always supposed to go that way. 2/2
