This is more of a regular detective story rather than the spooky vibes of the previous installment, but I'm still enjoying it.
Kinda weird that there's only 2 of them, it feels like it would have been an entire series.The comic is weird cause initially it feels like it's intended for more mature audiences in the first 10 pages before you notice the stretched out pacing and that it's for kids.But that applies to almost all scholastic books I've read/seen where it feels like the author wanted to write Batman, Men In Black or something more noir.
I'm stealing some ideas from the 2nd one with the aging light, the cats as spirits and the girl hallucinating her dead mom, even thought it says she's just divorced and alive, but I'm pretty sure some plot holes and new elements appeared that weren't previously there.

I liked the first one more; the "no Suee you are an asshole" turn in the story was more interesting than anything in here and it was creepier. When the kids start defeating evil with slingshots in this one it become a romp with no edge to it.

I liked this one, but it wasn't as good as the first one. The second half kind of fell apart with all the adults showing up and fixing everything plus "Oh yeah, the cat storyline" that never really tied into anything else. Needed a little more time in the oven. Sad that a third installment doesn't seem to be in the cards.
