I think the setting is ripe to explore the meaning of what counts as a person, machine intelligence, consciousness and so on. Somewhat of an excuse for questionable writing but based on what was presented I question alot if the characters presented are entirely the true selves of they're scanned of. Kinger made a passing reference to the incredible compression of the mind files. I wonder alot if the digital avatars are the absolute limits of what the computer servers/Caine's algorithm can represent. It could be used to justify at times how uncurious the cast is about themselves, this world they inhabit. How accepting they are of their circumstances. This along with how atleast in one instance we caught a glimpse of an NPC (gumigoo) seemingly growing consciousness rapidly. It just seemed fertile ground for a lot of interesting plot and characters stuff.Also I headcanon that abstraction is the mind file compression algorithm breaking its bounds. That the abstracts are a more uncompressed form of a person's mind and personality that cannot be expressed by the limitations of the hardware.

Every episode feels like you are starting something 20 minutes in, and half the scenes are missing. I think around episode 6 of TADC they realized they needed to make changes, i can't remember if it was episode 6 or 7 SIX SEVEN SIX SEVEN SIX SEVEN that was delayed by goose being overworked and literally running away for two weeks, and which was considered so badly written they delayed the episode while it was completely rewritten twice.TADC also has orphaned plot points, they were clearly setting Caine up to be responsible for every abstraction, and be the actual villain. Then they just abandoned this and characters never brought it up again. The Able plot being a red herring over multiple episodes was dumb, pure dumb. This whole show is a LOST mystery box that couldn't keep it's mysteries consistent over 7 hours. Now every Glitch show has been delayed as their writing team writes out drafts for every episode in the season and a full plot overview for the season before animation and voice acting starts to prevent being written into a corner.
