Let's have a thread for unused designs, concept art, and anything like that. I recently found these old Disney toy concepts that never happened
>>156124426
Cancelled Mike Mignola designed Final Fantasy 4 adaptation
>>156124426>prince action figuresi would have bought the FUCK out of a Beast figure.
>>156124439by Kurt Busiek no less.
>>156124429Oh hey I remember that. They were all 'we want the BOY audience these will be action figures not DOLLS'
Kaisa concept art.
>>156124439Fuck, that would’ve been hilarious. Why were we robbed?
>>156124439Isn't this thing actually done, just sitting in a file drawer somewhere?
>>156124439Is that supposed to be Cecil on the left?
>>156124426Looks cool.
>>156124439This probably would have been a "skilled creators, but circumstances make it alienate the target audience" adaptation.
>>156124439Mignola didn't design the characters. He only did the covers.
>>156124426Concept art for a toyline that would have been contemporary with Super Powers, where the main gimmick is everyone's 3 different types of badass antihero.
>>156126378
>>156126385
>>156126106>Target AudienceThis was 1991, pre-FFVII and therefore pre the modern FF fanbase, I imagine at the time most people wouldn’t have been too attached to the characters of the (original) FF III. In retrospect modern FF fans would probably find it quaint in the same way Nintendo fans find the old Metroid or Zelda comics.

>>156126420Done.
>>156124439Mignola doing Final Fantasy art. Fuck that could have been cool.
>>156126390Whose the crossed out guy?
>>156126430Kind of like the design on the left
>>156126607The scooby gang was based on the cast of an old sitcom so presumably he would have been Fred's rich snobby rival.
Dan Jurgen's original concept for Superman's electric suit, before they went with Ron Frenz' design.
>>156126635It could work; just give him his own gang, and have him boast that his group is better than Fred’s.>Fred: Damn it, even his dog has more class than Scooby.
