To answer your last question, of course. To that point, and it's not entirely wrong either, calling it "asexual" is a bit of a misnomer. I imagine there are very very very few people in the world, that for some physiological reason, can straight up not feel sexually motivated. But for better or worse, the colloquialism of asexuality reads more to the desire of actual sex.

I'll explain my experience with it to for a point of reference. Sex has a lot of extracurriculars involved. Extracurriculars that are just outright off-putting even when you think about it. I couldn't say even one time I've ever been sitting around and imagined myself in that situation, nor have I ever really had the desire to do so, that would motivate one to bother seeking it out.

Obviously it's me just projecting a lot onto Via herself because they could change things on a dime with her, but what I mean to say there is I very much understand the idea of just not wanting to have sex, so to have a character experience that isn't particularly alien to me.

She should totally rub it to fat demons (or fat human men) though.

On top of the general, I relate to her in some capacity. There's also the sympathy points for her, in that everything going on around her is both not her fault and she also doesn't have the means to do anything about it to fix the situation, so it's easy to feel for her plight.

I'm interested to see her character arc of coming to full maturity, that is realizing the personhood of her mom and dad and how she navigates that.
