Depicting humans as something the entire galaxy is terrified from and actively tries to exterminate is pretty fucking cool. I can't think of many pieces of media that depicts humanity in such a way.

Not to mention that he has clearly shown to have a personality in his acts of egotism, indifference towards many people's feeling and overall laziness.
