>>156166736>The purpose of these threads was to encourage the amateurs and ego boost try hards a little. Where are all the newbs? In the ai threads?I've seen autists on DA who struggle with drawing for years drop it completely for genning. Because they never liked drawing to begin with, it was only about their fetish. As for other newbs, 4chan is an aging platform that post hack and with current rolling temp range bans, isn't the cool hip place to draw anymore. Declining population. Drawthreads all across the site are dying and their times that a thread is up for have doubled and are mostly bumps just to keep them up. Example, /a/ drawthread went from lasting 4-5 days, to a week, to now two weeks. Drawthreads that lasted a month on slower places now last 2, 3, 4 months. It's just not as active as it was. Couple that with autism from requester spammers (including one real persistent douche), and no one wants to draw on 4chan anymore. You get more (posotive) interaction on Twitter and most artists want to get paid so they go charge money sooner than ever even before they can draw that well.
