Is the whole show good?
>>156171369No! The show is terrible. Every scene that plagues that dreaded venture is so sluggish and rage inducing it makes me wanna shoot my tv.
>>156171369Only the first 7 seasons
>>156171369Every clip I've checked out from this show, which is what people post here, has been unfunny.
>>156171535it requires contextit also requires you to like, have knowledge of tv shows and their cliches. otherwise it's not funny. like if there was a show that satirized uhhh the tropes of.. chinese opera.. I would not get that humor. I would understand why Jackie Chan is there, but that's it
>>156171519Filtered fag
>>156171529and a movie
>>156171926that.. could not have been more obvious bait
>>156171940danny pudi looks so much like a simpsons season 1 design that you see like 5-6 times and then never again
The only downside is how they dropped Kim out of spite. Because they set her up and then got mad when fans thought she'd do something. Very Rick and Morty of Doc and Jackson
>>156171369Yeah, I'd argue Venture Bros is pretty solid the whole way through. Some slow areas around Seasons 5 and 6, but still very creative and engaging as a whole*. *not a whole because adultswim fucking CANCELLED IT
>>156171988at least we got the moviehonestly I was expecting the show to end after season 8 anyway
>>156171529Yeah, season 8 was terribleThe zombie 24 subplot was God awful, I don't know what they were smoking
>>156172028I still can't believe we had to sit through a two-parter devoted entirely to Alchemist and Shore Leave's wedding. Made me wanna puke, and at the end they still didn't even go through with it.
>>156172061Seethe, fag
Yesonly faggots try to nitpick TV shows by saying one or two seasons are good/bad, and only watch xyz seasons in x order, etc etc
>>156172162I didn't want them to go through with it! I'm just saying, they put poor Jefferson through all that shit that made him (and me) deeply uncomfortable, for nothin'on the other hand, season 8 did give us Dean's amazing Venture News podcast episode.
>>156171983>tfw no big tiddy teen recurring character
It's good, but it changes over times (inevitable I suppose). I don't dislike the later stuff, but I do kind of miss the feeling of the early stuff that it left behind (yes they over-focused on the guild)
>>156172417At least it provided all that Blackula setup for season 9 whenever the fuck that's happening
>>156172497the guild stuff was a little overwrought but overall i thought the change over time was one of the best parts of the show. it kept things fresh and made the characters feel like people
>>156171983>Because they set her upShe was in one episode in the middle of season 2
>>156172470it's funny, she looks a lot like Sheila, and we ended up getting Sheila's backstory where she's a similar young woman trying to navigate supervillainy.. it makes me wonder if that scene was intended for Kim at first, then they changed course.
>>156171369No, there's a lot of mid episodes especially in later seasons and a fair number of just actually bad ones, especially in early seasons. It's carried hard by a handful of characters and many others are not great.
>>156171369Yes.
>>156171369Sadly the quality is either great or very good. Rarely mediocre
>>156172803>Sadly
>>156171369It's a great show all the way through, but I think it lost a bit of soul when it moved to New York. The Venture Compound felt too baked into the core idea and themes of the show to just throw away. It's one of those subtle things that affects tone in a big way.
>>156171519Ok, Monarch.
>>156171926Not an argument.>>156172162Go to bed sperg.
>>156172578>She was in one episode in the middle of season 2Two episodes, actually. But otherwise, yeah, there was never an intended setup. Everyone who got attached to her and pestered Doc and Jackson got what they deserved.
>>156171369I mean it’s not as good as Rusty Venture but it was fun.
>>156172538Yeah but you just know half of it’s gonna be flag backs about his mama, when are they gonna learn to keep mama’s out of it!
>>156171535just stop being under 18
I wish Le Teur was in the show longer
>>156173620>I love zee bettmyen
>>156172861I wish they would have done a little more with the compound before burning it to the ground.
>>156174792right? I really missed that joint.Basically, VB is one of those shows where we will always be left wanting more, purely because the same two guys wrote every fucking episode (except one that their mentor wrote), and as such, we couldn't get 24 fuckin episodes a year. we got like eight, every couple years.
Season 1-3 is the best of the show, season 4 onward isn't necessarily all bad, there's just a definitive shift.
Cigar?
>>156175019still don't smoke!
