Finn and Huntress are both very important and well liked characters and fans will naturally want to see more of them together so I don’t think the writers would just ignore them entirely.I don’t think they’ll play too major a role but I can see them in as supporting characters. Maybe they’ll have their own B-plot like Marceline and Bubblegum had in season 2 of F&C.

If it involves the multiverse in any way then HW would probably have to get involved because only she can access the dimensional tree. If it takes place entirely in Ooo then that becomes a harder question to answer and it’s likely in that context we’ll only see Finn and HW at the beginning and end unless the plot absolutely calls for their involvement.
