Why did James Gunn end Season 2 of Peacemaker on a cliffhanger of the protagonist trapped in another universe without any intention to continue the series? Shouldn't he want his TV show to be a satisfying standalone viewing experience that doesn't feel unfinished even if you don't watch the other projects in the shared universe? What movie or TV show is gonna follow up on the cliffhanger?

All James Gunn wants to do is write stories about characters he discovered from 2010 Cracked.com articles entitled “The Top 5 cuh-ray-zee-est superheroes”

Don't forget he has to include scenes where his wife makes out with other dudes

Not even vigilante can bring me back to anything gunn after peacemaker season 2, might as well watch a vivziepoop cartoon at this point as it's obviosly what gunn is taking from.

Every shitty thing Feige/Marvel has done since the first two Hulk solo movies went nowhere has been that. Even shit that isn't suppose to start a universe, like I AM LEGEND or I, ROBOT have cliff-hangers in them or end up with some strings unresolved. That's not new. It was new when Star Trek did in the late 1980s but every hack asshole who wants to collect a tv or movie paycheck as a writer since thinks it's their shiny new toy.

cliffhangers as a concept are hundreds of years old anon, I promise you they didn't get so popular off fucking Star Trek of all things that just a few years later there was a movie with A-list star Sylvester Stallone riffing on the title

Never watched any of the Peacemaker seasons; is there are reason Vigilante looks like a dweeb and not a man who had to take grim justice into his own hands in a world too corrupt to do what needs to be done?
