>>156210725the original argument about women in fridges is that the woman in question usually has no character, no backstory, and is rarely ever brought up again after they diewhereas male characters usually have full developed characters before they dieuncle ben is one of the only actual male characters who get fridged, existing only for a single issue, dying, and doing little else other than being a totally swell foster parent to get sad over before they diewhereas such characters are far more commonplace with women charactersso yeah, women care about men dying because they tend to have more emotional depth when they die in fiction
>Marxists having an opinion on art
>>156210741Bridging
>>156210765>women care about men dying because men get to die betterThese are the same "people" who reject the idea of extending the draft to women.
another day, another made up word from feminist normies we are all meant to pretend is real
>>156210907>another day, another made up word from feminist normiesanon, Gail Simone is an industry veteran, she has worked on the Red Sonja comics for a while, you can't dismiss someone who's been in comics for a damn long time.
>>156211059Yeah you can.
>>156211059Comics have been shit a damn long time
>One of the most normal emotional responses in nature, let alone humans, is bad if we call it a tropelol, fucking robots
What's it called when Kamala sinks anything she's featured in?
>You can only feel bad for someone losing a loved one, if you also cared about that loved oneWhat a weird worldview.
>>156210640If the man is black the women don't care
>>156210907How dare you, you've never HEARD of fridging?
>>156210725The only example off the top of my head isn't even /co/, Joel and Ellie from LOU2. Otherwise... Does Katana and her dead husband count? Ryuko and her dad from Kill La Kill maybe, but that's still not /co/.
>>156210640Smart girl
>>156210640People get killed for dramatic tension all the time in fictionIt is frequently a woman because the main character is a heterosexual man and cares about that woman in a way that is relatable to nearly 98% of the human raceI always saw this argument as an autist's objection to character drama and not a legit feminist critique of male writing
>>156210765Ah, so not Jean Grey, a well developed character with lots of backstory who is brought up time and time again after she dies?
>>156210725The husband in the Babadook was fridged
>>156211059>I'll take industry plant for 500 Alex.
>>156211059Gail Simone is a hack. I can dismiss her the same way I can dismiss Slott, Gaiman, or any other hypocritical faggot that thinks they are an authority on what comics are.
>>156210640She looks like she knows her way around a fridge.
>>156211059Watch me, fatty.
>>156210640>Now he’s feeling sad about something.Bitch, she was his friend and he loved her—not to mention that he was forced to kill her to save the world. It’s because of things like this that female characters written by women will never be popular.
>>156211059Gail's Sonja smelled like an open sewer and bought slaves for sex.
>>156210640Kamala a cute
>>156211280Based.
>>156211425
>>156211258Gayman is way better than those two clowns.
>>156211249Fridging only applies to women. When men die, it's because all men are rapists and deserve it.
>>156210907All words are made up fool
Fridging is a stupid concept. Supporting characters get killed off all the time for the sake of the main character to have something to react to. Who gives a shit if it's a woman or not?
It feels like some people are trying to deconstruct old ideas and coin new terms without very much thought or research into a subject they aren't truly passionate about. All in an effort to "make their mark" and justify the degree they got in college.
>>156210640you can tell that fatass was looting her fridge when she made up that word
>>156211755Retard
>>156211059Yes, you can you cock chugging bastard. Horrible writers and creators have existed for years you can absolutely dismiss their opinions, if their work is shit.
>>156211760Cuck faggot.
>>156210640I want to lick her feet
>>156211725I find the concept interesting because the perception that it happens mostly to women in male-lead media implies that women-lead media, presumably made by and for women, does not typically deal with the death of a loved one as a source of drama.
>>156212022Women will watch a thing called Batman,Superman, Spider-Man, Conan and get mad that the female side character isn't the hero of the story.
>>156211059I just did faggot
>>156211059I can when their opinion is retarded.
>>156210765>the original argument about women in fridges is that the woman in question usually has no character, no backstory, and is rarely ever brought up again after they dieNo it wasn't. Read Gail Simone's actual site. https://www.lby3.com/wir/She just came up with a list of random bad things that had happened to women in comics. No scientific process, no argument.
I love that in the MCU, Bullseye put a girlfriend on the fridge
>>156210640>how dare men care about women so much that her death motivates him this is heckin sexist!!There is no way to spin this complaint that isn't wickedly bad faith
FVVVAAARK WHEN SHE TURNS TO THE BECCIN VAMERA WITH THAT HECCIN LOOK SHE EOKOOOOOON FFVVVVVVKKK STOP MOSOGNY GUYS GFFFFVVVVVKKKK
>>156212022>women-lead media, presumably made by and for women, does not typically deal with the death of a loved one as a source of drama.Women are too self centered for something like that. It's why most of them make bad GFs, wives and moms.
>>156211059No one is infallible, dipshit.

>>156212538
>>156210640>The Kamala curse even killed her careerShame
>>156211059>Listening industry plant nepobaby #278 because this one has a vagina>Listening to a vagina because she's a industry plant nepobaby #278lol. If anything how much work she has just drives the point home comic writers aren't for shit
>muh feministsPeople have been laughing at and making fun of and critically talking about "fridging" in comics for as long as I can remember
>>156212819Except there were also plenty of people unironically believing and using it. Such as those dweeby youtubers.
