>>11559215Why are you even on this website if that's important to you?
>>11559248Never understood the idea that you can witness characters who in the source material are meant to be curvaceous and sexually attractive but you aren't actually socially allowed to depict them that way yourself even if you wouldn't have even known how old they are without consulting a wiki.
please don't bring this nonsense. We have a nice thing going on.
>>11559248>>11559260god, shut the fuck up you pedo apologists.
>>11559270At least the people who are bitching about it are at least contributing unlike on /b/
>>11559279You've been individually checking the ages of every character in these threads, I take it? At least contribute while you're crying.
RIP BBW-Chan, you were terrible for the most part but the positives you had to offer are going to be well missed.
Not the first time bbw-chan go kicked off a host. Hopefully it will be back soon. If piracy streaming sites can do, then so can Lt. Barclay.
>>11559279>This makes wannabe moralfags cry in fear
>>11559309you gonna post mistystuffer next?
>>11559303I think you guys are a bit too dramatic. Barcley was busy with a family matter but now he's back, the site just needs a new host and he's looking for it. It seems like some people are new to the site and don't know about the previous times bbw-chan was down or the times when it was ACTUALLY going to die
>>11559279You can't be a pedophile towards a fictional character. You can't harm them by definition, retard
>>11559312She looks so silly
>>11559316He basically posted tribute mistystuffer.
>>11559215Dude, this art. You can take a creative liberty and just age up a character. It's not that hard to do or understand. The only exception is if an aspect of being underage or a minor is integral to the character. We are already posting versions of characters that are usually at a minimum of double their canon bodyweights. So how hard is it to really say that you made a character that is 15-18, 2-4 years older than their canon version?I just don't get the outrage, its like you equate that to wanting what Jeffery Epstein and Jared Fogel want.

>>11559349Oh it's definitely performative for a lot of people. Once saw someone complain that even "Aging" up a character was still just an excuse to be a pedo, they must not have realised that I followed their priv on twitter and they retweeted a lot of NSFW art of Pokemon and Persona girls. Wish I confronted them about that but everyone just ignored their outburst and I felt like it would be reigniting the drama. When it comes to Loli at least that's an actual taboo, it's understandable that people could find it to be in poor taste. The idea of finding say, art of the Quintessential Quintuplets girls to be worth getting mad over is just crazy to me.
It is performative. A lot of the big name artists don't actually give a shit about technically underaged characters (not naming names here) but feel the need to keep that kind of art private so they don't get cancelled.
>>11559373Outside of bluesky the cancel crowd doesn't really have any power anymore. You can just tell them to fuck off and be better off for it.t. artist who has told people to fuck off
>>11559373If you're a big artist, people won't want to start beef with you. Nobody's going to make themselves a community pariah over BWS drawing a character from an almost forgotten harem anime due to a patreon poll. In general it feels like people are way less inclined to start shit these days, which is fine by me.>>11559376To be honest outside of one or two instances I've seen it, Bluesky is surprisingly chill about this. Probably because of the smaller userbase and the algorithm there being less engagement driven, things just don't escape your target audience that often. Also helps that a lot of artists there tend to be the "Paypal and Payment processors will crack down on queer art, we need to defend freedom of expression!" types of guys. At least when it comes to who I follow. Also the block function just outright removes people from your inner circle. It's like Stalin removing Nikolai Yezhov from that photo. The moment you block them every instance of them replying to you just gets scrubbed for everyone.
>>11559349>>11559369The rationale against aging up is usually "it means you were attracted enough to a kid to do that" but it's kind of built upon the idea that the ONLY reason someone could be attracted to a character is related to their youth, which falls apart after 5 seconds of thought. No one considers that someone could just have a thing for long hair or glasses or something and the perceived age has nothing to do with it.Generally I wouldn't mind these ideals if people were consistent about how they weaponize them, but the people who are the loudest often tend to conveniently skip over whatever they personally find attractive, so it's very hard to respect someone who is essentially going "rules for thee but not for me". As an artist who's been involved with 2hu for years it makes me feel insane watching people posture about how much they hate loli while conveniently sidestepping being attracted to or entertaining sexual thoughts with say, Remilia or Suwako with "but they're actually adults"/"but they're meant to be adults they're just short"/"they're up to interpretation". If everyone just freely admitted that they're stirring shit purely off of vibes and not a tangible moral metric it'd be chill.>>11559376Been completely obsessed with the way this artist draws Etna.
>>11559386>>11559376Gotta second that Bluesky surprisingly hasn't been too bad, from my experience it's been far worse on Twitter because a lot of the kids and the fandomrotted people who are obsessed with needing to spread "community awareness" are there, so you can get the wrong kind of attention real fast and unlike Bluesky the blocking feature isn't strong enough to deal with it (shit they weakened it if anything).>>11559373Most big artists I know who genuinely don't care stay silent and don't respond to anyone so as to maintain the benefit of the doubt (or have already cultivated a community that gives as few shits as they do). It's kind of funny that someone last thread mentioned MysteryDad taking down a piece of art the other day because I distinctly remember a few years back he started doing all this posturing about how it's "so easy to just not draw kids", and then not too long later he started drawing art of Miku and deleted his old moralizing posts. Given how he clearly didn't care enough to doublecheck the age of a Senran Kagura character but cared enough to have taken down the post (presumably when it was pointed out to him by someone) he definitely reads as someone who is more worried about potential social suicide than someone who actually gives a shit. I can't say I don't understand.
>>11559387>The rationale against aging up is usually "it means you were attracted enough to a kid to do that" but it's kind of built upon the idea that the ONLY reason someone could be attracted to a character is related to their youth, which falls apart after 5 seconds of thoughtIt usually is either projection or self admission on the part of the person accusing this. Its only done for getting clout or some weird atonement complex on the part of them. Its always one or the other with those kinds of people.Either that or they are too moronic to understand that you can age up a character just in the same way you can weight up a character.
>>11559349I mean "aging up" still sounds like a cope to me (if you're doing it solely to please the crowd). When you decide to draw a canon 15yo character the way they would normally look as a 15yo then stand by it. Some goes for loli, though obviously not everyone is going to like that.In practice you'll be hard pressed to find an artist who has *not* drawn Megumin at some point.
One of my favorites

>>11559221Rin Noheki's drawings are so appealing. The women look soft and cute.
>>11559410I am not going to buy the argument of "Oh if you draw X character too close to how she actually looks then just admit to being into 15 year olds bro" when there are too many reasons to why that isn't the case.I was going to type more, reasons and rational. But I don't really give you any argument that you probably don't give a shit about anyway. Not going to waste my time further.>>11559417Some people have a stick so far up their ass you can see it in their mouth when they yawn.
