>>11591686Costumes coming to life can be fun in general, although obviously not directly tied to growth, but I’m immediately reminded of the story Magic Candy, where a girl dressed as Alice (of wonderland fame) on Halloween is a new friend to the male protagonist and, once their respective siblings head off to other own thing, the pair stumble on a confectioner who gives her an ‘eat me’ cake.She eats it and proceeds to endure an extended growth sequence, start drawing attention to herself as she outgrows her clothes before they find a secluded swimming pool where they share a tender moment whilst she’s 30ft tall or thereabouts.Sadly she shrinks almost entirely back down not long after, keeping a few inches and larger curves, but it was a fun read anyway.Otherwise a good, old fashioned trick-or-treat hating witch cursing an unwelcome visitor or, like the above story, an enchanted treat work well.
