I want to put in a super cheap shower in my workshop bathroom. I rent the shop so not too expensive, labor intensive, or hard to remove would be good design parameters.I have ~L42"xW34"xH98". And will have to have a tank catchment for grey water that would be pumped out. Any ideas? Thanks
I would just have a platform that drains into a 5 gallon bucket
>>2989857Well 5Gal is quite a bit less than a normal shower, and I think the height wouldnt pan out (Im 6'3). The platform is more of the problem. I could fab one out of stainless but that would be more expensive than the most basic shower pan ~$190. Ive had one built at a shop before from IBC totes which was actually pretty sweet, but not enough space here. This is the best available material Ive come up with thus far.
>>2989859>Well 5Gal is quite a bit less than a normal showerFor who? I shower in like 3-4 minutes
>>2989861The average person. 3 min. Is still over 5Gal. I typically get wet and shut it off, then scrub/rinse to save water, but still. I have a dirty job, sometimes it takes a while to get clean even doing that. With a 5G bucket and headroom we're talking about 90 second shower.
>>2989864Clarifying: That is, cutting a 5G down to about 3G or less so I can get my head wet and still have room for the pan. Cutting a 55Gal drum to size would be like twice the volume and more viable.
where are you pumping to, do you have a floor drian?
>>2989883Nearby sink or toilet drain. Not sure what the circular cover is in that corner, very large rusty passageway, I assumed it was an old electrical channel, idk.
>>2989895if you're gonna do this retarded thing, i'd say raise it enough to hold a 4/10 hp lift stationlet the water drop in the reservoir, pump activates when a float raises from the water level in it's basin rising24" is the smallest I know of in heightyou could put it to the side of the shower and raise the shower less by running a drain under the raise into the upper side of the lift station and then pump it out to utility sinki don't think you're gonna find a better wayshowers run at 2-5 gallons per minute
>>2989895i'll add it might just be a floor drain and worth paying a plumber $250 to run a camera down and verifywould save you a lot of money in the pump system
>>2989898>>2989901Unfortunately the retarded thing is pretty necessary. My working plan is that stock tank w/magnetic bottomed shower curtain, with a raised stainless perforated metal standing platform inside and transfer pumping out. Or building a platform w/ shower pan that drains into that stock tank and a sump pump. Id agree about the plumber but that cavity appears to just be a 10x10 cube of walled off rust. Fuck knows.
We used something like this for asbestos removal. You need a pump, a shower head hooked up to a tap and some hose preferably connected to a hot water tank.
>>2989851Shower head over a floor drain, probably fed by a hose>I'm a bitch and I need hot waterHook it up to your slop sink>I have a small dick and want privacyHang a tarp>i don't want water all over the floorGet some fiber rolls
I was able to find a shower stall 75% off at the habitat for humanity for ~36$. I realized it was too high for the first mandoor to the bathroom, so I had to cut it down 3/4" >:[Now Ive welded a little face frame to make it less flimsy from AL angle that will double as a curtain rod. >>2989925If I had a floor drain life would be much better.
>>2989851Here you go anon. It's your $20 bathing solution. If the bathroom doesn't have a floor drain , you can use a construction sump pump
