what are some uses for dryer fluff?
It's great for when you've got extra space to fill in your trash can.
>>2994094Stuff it into a toilet paper tube and pour melted wax or animal fat inside for a very good fire starter.
air restrictor, for slowing down air movement.
>>2994109That's about as useful as pic rel.
>>2994198Thats probably why most people throw it away. It isn't really useful for anything.
>>2994094Firestarter. I soak mine in tiki-torch fuel and keep it in a tin.
>>2994094Small (!) stuffed animals. The fibers are very short so you need a lot.>>2994109Tried. Doesn't work and smells bad.
>>2994109All you need is a spark. Dryer lint is basically char cloth. A little nitric + sulfuric and you can make gun cotton.
>>2994094
>>2994220If it comes out in a clean sheet, put it above your roof to keep your house warm in winter
>>2994198it's useful if you go outsidedryer lint will light very easy and the wax keeps it burning for a good minute, way better for starting a camp fire than trying to hold a match under your kindlingI space the lint out in an egg carton then poor candle wax on it, once it hardens stick in them in a ziplock and discard the egg carton when you want to light them just break the wax open a bit to expose the lint fibers
>>2994094Eww bro wtff
>>2994256>>2996734Drier lint these days is like 50% polyester plz no burn it
>>2996859if I don't burn it it'll become micro plastic in my testicles
I always thought it looked a bit like felt, but that's probably not an avenue worth exploring.
>>2994256>just get these two very regulated chemicalstfw euro
>>2994094Sell it online catfishing as a cute girl or boy.
>>2994095lol
>>2994094Man she was so cute in the 2000s
>>2994094It's a good kindling material. Also, if using it for that purpose doesn't convince you to clean your dryer exhaust lines regularly, nothing will.
>>2997679>good kindling materialnothe best is here, fluff it out into two 32 gallon trash cans and a small handful works wonders, lights like paper burns like wood
>>2997074This is similar to my idea>make new ebay account>advertise selling a nintendo switch 2 for $300>send them a box filled with rocks and dryer lint>repeat step oneIRL infinite money glitch right here
>>2996859What's wrong with burning polyester?Honest question
>>2998328it's essentially plastic>>2997939that isn't anywhere near enough profit to commit fraud, especially considering the labor investment for the scam and shipmay as well just go to wagie job
>>2998380What's wrong with burning plastics as long as the temperature is high enough?
>>2998420You aren't going to get the temperature high enough. You are just going to make a bunch of toxic smoke. Its going to put a fine particulate of toxic bullshit over whatever area you burn it in.
>>2998441Tree-hugging holistic "toxic", or an actual danger kind of toxic?
>>2998451Pretty much all smoke from anything at all which burns is "actual danger" toxic. Smoking is bad because of the smoke, for example. Pyrolysis products and fine particles can mess up your lungs over time. Carbon monoxide can kill you outright. That said, burning certain things can produce products way worse than normal smoke. Burning chlorides (e.g. polyvinyl chloride) can produce toxic chlorine compounds. Burning things with benzine rings (polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyurethane, and PET (soda bottles)) can produce carcinogenic aromatic compounds. Generally speaking, complete combustion with plenty of oxygen and heat breaks things down to simple chemicals and removes most hazards, but just burning a chunk of plastic in open air probably won't achieve that. If you see any smoke, it definitely isn't.
>>2998453Addendum to the above: ALL smoke is bad. If you're going to be burning anything, avoid breathing the smoke. This includes wood, grass (lots of particulates), gasoline (lots of benzine), cans (usually lined with some kind of plastic, metal fumes are usually toxic), etc.
>>2994094putting the even foam under rugs so they don't move around
>>2998441>>2998453What would be an acceptable temperature? 300C? 400C?I know that burning PVC will not yield just CO2 and H2O. And I know that burning wood or grass can yield benzene, which is carcinogenic. But maybe still better than nano plastics that will be around for millennia.
>>2998653>What would be an acceptable temperature? 300C? 400C?Like 2000C, with an excess of oxygen available.
>>2998757>Like 2000CIA says around 1000C.You're talking out of your ass
>>2997939Everyone thinks of this at least once as a child, you'd end up with a low-trust society if everyone did it though
>>2996734>>2994094>>2994210You can make fire logs, I recon with a pipe, some water and a bottle jack.
