I have a one-year-old Toro SmartStow front-wheel-drive push mower.When I was mowing earlier today, the front wheel drive just stopped. So, I took off the top and bottom covers and inspected the drive belt and pulley. The pulley was initially stuck, but I was able to get it to move again. The drive belt is fine and shows very little wear.The front wheels do not move when engaging the transmission. They do spin when I manually spin them with my hands, but I haven't taken the wheels off to see if the teeth on the wheels and the gear are connected.Is there a chance the gearbox is hosed? I've worked on these mowers for a few years now, but I have taken the gearbox off and inspected one. I do have an AP protection plan on it, and it's valid, so if push comes to shove, I can just get it replaced, but I hate just throwing out a mower.Anyway, thanks.

It was designed to be assembled once and then never taken apart. A new one is $600. I said fuck it and bought a cheap one from amazon. Are self-propelled mowers even worth the hassle? I've never had one. It seems rather pointless since you still have to walk behind the thing. And pushing a mower isn't exactly backbreaking.
