I am a dumbass and broke my door because i got stuck outside, i want to fix it but i am not sure how as i've never worked this kind of stuff, i don't even know if its fixable or i should get a new one wich i hope i don't, if anyone has any good ideas please tell me/ I also tought it might be a good chance to change it up a little, new coat of paint and maybe designing a little becuase i like to do oil paint so i might as well go full on that.

>>2996234Looks like a hollow cardboard door. Measure it and go to your local ReStore or other architectural salvage place and see if you can get a replacement that isn't made of sawdust and glue.

You need to replace.Take the door off its hinges and find the stamp at the top or bottom. Then measure from the top of the slab to the tops of each of the hinge leaf mortises. Not the pin on the barrel but the actual hinge leaves. Then measure the overall dimension of the door. You will need all this information to correctly specify your replacement.What I can see at least is that this is a 6 raised panel textured hollow core interior door prepped for 2 hinges only; 2-1/8" lock bore at 2-3/8" backset. Probably drive-in latch.
The carpenter that can dutchman repair that hollow door wouldn't be asking. You'd need to patch it with similar grain material then stain match then drill and install knob set. Just replace the slab or entire door.

like other anons said, you will need to replace it. however what should be asked is how, and why? did you just kick your door knob until fell through? and again why. why isnt the strike plate ripped from the jamb? deadbolts, latches, etc. would break it apart
