can you wash these out and use them as tomato pots?
i googled it and reddit says absolutely not youll definitely get cancer but boomers on an agriculture forum posted by tapatalk circa 2010 say its fine

plastic is porous, you will never get small amounts of motor oil out of the walls.
Tomato plants climb the walls of any buckets you put them in, they will be laying directly against it.
