I am trying to hook up a water pump to start when a float activates. I don't want a corded system, but I wireless battery powered signal and receiver on the pump. Is there something ots that runs on a replaceable battery that will send a signal to turn on a power strip, I will plug the pump into?
>>2998111Does it have to be a/that float switch? Because zigbee power strips and zigbee water sensors are pretty cheap now. If you are tied to that float valve, get a dry contact input like “FRIENT - Zigbee 3.0 IO module” that runs on 5V-24V or usb power and hook a battery holder with us or powerbank to it. Range is 50 ish meters with few obstacles, more if you can put a repeater inbetweenMaybe wireless float switches exist too, idk really
>>2998111There are outlets you can turn on and off with a wireless remote, shouldn't be hard to wire up the remote to a float switch. You will need some kind of logic though to stop the remote being pressed continuously while the float is up.
>>2998111you need to put a switch on the float arm and have it be mechanical and not get the chinines wifi apps involved
>>2998112Thanks for reply, I'm looking at Kasa Smart Plugs. A float activation would be hands free but having a wifi connected outlet, that I can remote start from the Kasa app on my phone would work as well. Basically my French drains are clogged, and previous owner built them with sharp 90 degree bends I cant snake or use a spinning cleaner as it's that thin bendy wall shit that would break with a cleaning tool. My only options are, dig up under a deck and spend a few grand, or drop in a hole in the catch of the lowest point and use a pump to clear the water.
>>2998115Why wouldn't a standard submersible pump with a float switch work?
