How do you secure these in the tool's plastic box?
>>
You don't
>>
Stuff a piece of foam in there on top of them
>>
Maybe a couple of those velcro zip ties

This could've gone in SQTDDTOT

Picrel.
Bits in bag, then it fits inside the hardcase for my Bosch Bulldog.
They were cheaper when I bought em. I got a 16 pack and use them for everything, tools, camping gear. They're awesome.

They’ll still jingle in the bag. Also if they’re long SDS bits, they won’t fit in the standard bags.

I still say leave em loose like a man, but canvas is better than ziplocs or rubber bands. Rubber bands break down and get hard or they melt into a gooey mess when in contact with certain other plastics or chemicals. And ziploc bags trap moisture inside and will rust steel very quickly if any sort of moisture gets in.

Well a rotary hammer isn't the stealthiest of tool. I don't why you'd give a fuck about the SDS bits jingling inside the case.

buy or make/3d print some covers for the drill tips and call er good

With common sense I'm sure you could figure out numerous ways to do this. Between opening this thread and typing out this reply, I've thought of 3 or 4 different ways to solve your problem. But I'm not going to tell you what they are, because that's not going to help fix what your real problem is, which is an inability to think.

These guys are made of tool steel. You don't need to worry about them bouncing around or getting scratched, but you do need to keep the shank clean and lubricated when you put them in the rotary hammer.

You need to get some grease and cleaning rags in there and use them each time before you use a drill bit. You do not want to get a bit stuck inside your rotary hammer! I only own one hammer that I use every work day. Lesson learned.
I recommend keeping the shank in the plastic cases they came with and keep them wedged in there with foam or something. Lessen the need for cleaning.

Cut "rubber bands" from bike inner tubes.

But in all reality just let them rattle around the case like a man. I have 3 different hammer drills and the bits rattle around in there just fine. The two hilti metal cases have spots for the bits so that is nice.
