Are you guys into sorting scrap metal and alloys? What's your source? Do you just dive into trash, or have an agreement with local business and just take broken electronics and cables from time to time?

I have a bunch of wheely bins the city was trashing and gave away for free that I sort all my stuff in. I'll curb pick and there are a few thrift stores here that scrap anything that doesn't work or isn't sellable. I usually wait until the bins are full but if copper or brass price spikes I'll wheel them on the trailer and take it in.

i have a few bins of various aluminums and copper wire, along with a smaller brass and a tub of #2 copper.

I pick up things occasionally along the road or buy auction lots for $1 and score good copper and brass

I go through all open dumpsters but I will leave if asked.
