Looking for simple project recommendations. I've gotten into a bad habit of Doom scrolling and being terminally online, so I want a way to get out of that habit.Post things you've made or any ideas you have.Picrel is a skateboard that I turned into a lamp. Looks good with a dimmer switch.
Coaster I made for a friend. That's Teemo from League of Legends
>>2999495Rotate 90 degrees clockwise. Idk why it fucked up. This is a simple cloud light I made. Styrofoam with cotton balls to make it look like a cloud. Fairy lights inside to light it up.Ok that's 3 pics.
>>2999494Put paracord on shit, do knots, use cord as fidget toy. Very soothing.Papercraft is also surprisingly comfy. Not expensive to get into either. Cut out pictures of cool shit from magazines, books, printouts, whatever. Stick em down. Pour epoxy on em and turn em into coasters. Go nuts.Thrift store wooden items and restore them.Make those little "potion bottle" snowglobe things. Very very simple, but gives you a neat little gewgaw to shake and watch the glitter spin at the end.

>>2999496>Styrofoam with cotton ballsWhen you make lamps or whatever it's called, think about the flammability of the materials you are using.I'd post some coat hangers I built with salvaged wood, but I'm not at home right now
clock mechanisms are cheap, usually come with or next to numbers, and really dont take much to "make" a clock out of anythingi used an atlas to trace state edges onto free red cedar sawmill extras and a jigsaw to make clocks in the shape of states for people.coastlines are hard, but end up complicated enough even if you dont really match it exactly it looks pretty spot on. Maine's coastline is whats on my mind as I say that
I recently put up a dartboard in the garage and the chalkboard I had was super shitty. Old, had gotten wet and so if a dart hit it, it went right through it. I had this old longboard hanging around, so I taped the edges because I wanted to preserve the green border, sanded it down. Primed it. Painted it with chalkboard paint, and this is the final result. My wife thought it was going to turn out like shit, but was pleasantly surprised. I haven't decided if this is what I'm going to use, but I'm happy with the result. The kids like drawing on it at least.
