I might be a /diy/ retard, but if I carry this, i get shit done, unexpectedly.
Like pocket carry? Because I have the set of three Stanley foldups, Metric, SAE and Torx in my go box
>EDCing a set of Allen keysI can't remember the last time I needed an Allen key.. Do you work at the IKEA or something?
>>3000264Bicycle, any consumer product needing assembly
>>3000272Oh, baby DIY. Congrats. Maybe next talk about the pen knife you carry on your keychain to open cardboard boxes and pop plastic packing materials.
>>3000242Those guys are nice for not losing the smaller ones, but you lose a lot of use from not having the short end of the allen key
>>3000274Yay! I totally will, thanks ^.^
>>3000264I used part out cnc machines as a jobThe amount of idiots that have stripped every fucking Allen head screw over the last 20-30 years running a Mori, okuma or mazak Snap-on prybars we’re all over my work stand and having to drill out the heads I kept like 5 different impact drivers all with different tools geared up and like 10 batteries fully charged was able to rip out a fanuc backed Mori in like 20 mins with a podcast on and the mos expensive drives and motors on auction liquidation shipped before lunch Eventually I designed and 3d printed my own tools to help aid this process But I don’t do it anymore it was a weird ass job
>>3000274my EDC is a megapack of condoms and a bucket of lube because i fuck your mom
>>3000242when are you using allen keys on a daily basis?like seriously.
>>3000561On my pegboard xDI've added several since then. Since I'm the only guy at my office I just kinda got volunteered to assemble all the new office chairs so I started doing this with the allen wrenches
>>3000563the thumbnail looks like horsecocks xD
>>3000264not OP but I work with manual machine tools, I've got similar (but better quality) sets in both SAE and metric as well as a small Torx one in my everyday box and use them constantly.
>>3000607Eklind metal body folding hex key sets are so much better than the plastic shit that most places sell. Gotta have a good L key set too for when they're needed. I saw one on a YouTube short where you twisted one of the hex keys and they would all flip out so you could grab the one you needed. Wera or Wiha can't remember off the top of my head. Intrigued me though and I might splurge on some someday. Most of the time the cheapo holder pisses me off more than anything. Anyone have any experience with those?
>>3000624https://toolguyd.com/eklind-tools-closing/eklind allen wrenches are trash but i dont love to see another usa company go awayt.bondhus enjoyer
>>3000626I use the MAC RBRT for everything personally Used to be a bondhus guy, the gold plated ones… but they kept snapping when I put a three foot chea- I mean kept breaking with light use So I got the Mac RBRT ones and I definitely do not have it on a flex impact driver and ONLY use them with a ratchet for light duty use
>>3000601The term you are looking for is selective perception. It describes the psychological tendency to filter, interpret, or actively notice only the information that aligns with your preexisting desires, beliefs, or expectations.
>>3000563unless that was in your job description you should've left that for those uppity foids to do some real work instead of their tiktok dancing
>>3001127Lol I don't start shit because it's the most do nothing job I've ever had. I run a document scanner for a few hours a day then kind of mill around looking for shit to steal. I haven't bought a roll of TP or can of lysol in years
>>3001161im so jealous of you lul
>>3001260You ought to see the lockers I scored when they were downsizing
>>3000624Those look pretty nice. I've just got the Klein ones plus a torx thing from HF and they've been fine for me though. I'm having a hard time with weight in my EDC box so I'm not sure about all-metal but the Elkinds do look like they'd take up less space, which would be nice.
>>3000264Industrial engineer here. Whenever we can't use regular hex head bolts, we use Allen. I have yet to see an industrial line using anything other than these two.
