I am about to wrap up this shower build in my house and I think I accidentally built the niche area too high.The bottom shelf sits at 50.5 inches off the floor. So its in my chest area when I step in. I could actually demo the tile just there and rebuild it down to 48 inches. I’m hearing that the bottom of the shelf should be even with the shower valve at 48 inches.Any advice?

>>3001367Myself and others have lived just fine with shampoo perched on the top rail of one of these ubiquitous old shower doors. You will do just fine with your 52 inch shelf. The enemy of good is perfect.
>>3001367Green marble is pretty expensive for DIY, and its prone to staining and moisture damage if not sealed properly. They say youre supposed to use epoxy mortar and grout. You'll probably be fine if you didn't just make sure to seal it at least twice before you grout and at least once more after, and then at least once a year. Not knocking your work but some leveling clips would have gone a long way.
