don't they got some chemical that kills cement they can add, along with some water, that will keep concrete truck drums perfectly clean?

I know the trucks carry some water. Don't they just add enough water and maybe do an extra rinse, so its just clean metal and maybe some clean rocks?

Strong acids like hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid will eat concrete, but you'd need a lot of it to clean off the entire surface of a concrete mixer truck. The volume is huge and it's not practical to clean it by letting it soak in 55 gallons of [powerful toxic chemical]. There's no chemical on earth that's concentrated enough that a milk jug full would clean an entire cement mixer.

certainly nothing that wouldn't also eat the milk jug
>>

Bashing this shit off is satisfying as fuck seeing huge chunks flake off and crack off
>>
why not just fill it with enough water to ruin the remaining concrete.

I know trucks will "wash out" and need a place to dump. GC at a site made a dump spot for the trucks on a pallet and landscape fabric and 2x4s and cable.

just put in some metal balls like a ball mill and drive around the freeway for a while and it will all be dust
>>
Apparently Dawn dish soap will kill a load of concrete...

>why don't they *something something about established industrial practice*
you're right, they're all dumb. you're the smart one.
>>
I remember reading that French anarchist would add sugar to concrete so it wouldn't set. Don't know how effective some sugar would be at cleaning though.

Hardened steel is a chemical

?
because concrete cures underwater
you just dump it on the ground and clean it up in a day or two
>>
>>3001726
Just toss a flask of fluorine perchlorate in there.
>>

spraying with sugar water has been used to create "exposed aggregate" finish.

I guess you gotta know how much and when to spray
>>
>>3002445
a guy i know that had a business making big ugly concrete planters used molasses painted on the forms
he said a can of pepsi would wreck the mechanical properties of an entire truckload and a 2 liter would kill it completely
every truck ive seen has a 5lb sack under the seat. but its usually a drivetrain breakdown on the truck that fucks things if you cant get the sugar mixed in because theres no way to spin the drum

Yes there is.

sounds like a lot of work

The dump site for concrete is a lot of work and bullshit and your first guess for “why is this a thing” is most likely right:
Environmental regulatory bullshit.
75 yards of concrete dumped on the ground, to be buried or left exposed: with a painted line next to the hole: perfectly fine
Half a yard of concrete dumped on the ground, to be buried or picked up later and trucked off to recycle: redditor ringing front door bell.gif, fbi open up.gif
And the people ask why it costs so damn much to do anything.
>>
>>3003159
what state is that in? I'm in probably the second worst state for environmental bullshit and no one has ever said anything about dumping the concrete rinse at the tree line.
>>
>>3001725
What's everyone's take on the 1L stuff?

I just learned that Type 1/2 isn't made in the us anymore so all concrete has some variable of 15% uncooked lime in the mix instead of 2% or 5%.

I'm starting to see report after report of lamination in footers poured by guys that I'd trust to pour my mother's tomb. One finisher said the government changed the formula we had for a hundred years recently and didn't tell anyone.

blue collar wagie cucks can do their job it's NMP

So you're telling me even concrete is getting shittier? Great...
