Not my pic, the roots in question started pushing up pavers in the middle of my driveway, without affecting the outer edges. For now, I've pulled up the affected pavers, cut the roots out enough to not have to pull up the whole driveway, poured some glyphosate on the end of the root, and put the pavers back down. Ultimately because I'm not using a plate compactor, I can only lift my pavers X amount of times before they will be noticeably wonky.I know some people will lightly spray their pavers with glyphosate to stop weeds, but does anyone ever use a heavy dose to try and soak into the earth below? I'm thinking of drowning the middle of the driveway in glyphosate, hosing it in, let it dry, hose it in again the next day, then just don't park or walk on it for a week. It only seems to be an issue since we had an AC unit installed that drains on the driveway, which I'm assuming is attracting the roots to be surface. I will address the drainage issue.How would you approach this issue?

I thought glyphosate was mostly absorbed through leaves and worked systemically; it's why it sucks as a weed preventative but whatever. Go to the edge of your driveway on the side of the trees, trench that shit out and cut the roots that are entering, and insert some sort of solid physical barrier deeper than the roots appear to go. Or just cut those dumbass trees down; fuck having trees anywhere near your house.
