Is it too cold? Everything online is about debris in the line. The fridge came with the house, I remember my dad saying he made it colder, so I wonder if it was fine until he messed with it. Or the real estate agent was dumping water every day, that wouldn't surprise me either. It works fine otherwise so I don't really want to buy a new one. But it's a bitch to figure out since basically all the food will go bad.

I found pic rel suggestion which could support that concept for getting clogged. So I'll still make sure the line is clean but I'd already done that so maybe this will help too.

If you could remove it and fit a p-trap drain tube in its place, it would be permanently fixed. This is 100% the problem with your fridge. Maybe you could suck the clog out with a shop vac.

>>3002516Had exact same problem.Short ter solution is take out stuff under blankets and melt the ice with hair dryer every few days (have something to absorb the water)Heater burned itself so it wouldn't melt the ice.We changed it to no one and same problem returned for unknown reason. Instead of pumping more money we just bought a new one as 2 different fix guys recommended due to age and model of fridge they claimed it won't hold for long anyway.
