Is it possible to use CAT6 cable to make an engine harness for an early 90s Japanese car?

My AC stopped producing cold air last night. It was still running but not making cold air and the temp was rising.
I called out the service who installed the AC (new 1 year ago) and the guy said there wasn't enough air flow and because of this the cooling coil was freezing. He recommended installing a new air return duct.
Is there any merit to this or is this company trying to fleece me? I'm already mad at them for other services they've fucked up.

There is merit. You need good air flow across the evaporator coils otherwise they can turn in to a block of ice. Whether or not his solution is the right one is impossible to know unless you’re a technician with the proper tools and know all the variables.

Here’s a defrosting block of ice I found on some coils yesterday. It looked like the inside of grandma’s freezer a few hours earlier.

You can check if the coil is frozen. You can also hear the blower change tone if it is completely frozen. The same freezing can be caused by a refrigerant leak as well though so you need to get knowledgeable or get a second opinion

Well if they also ran your ducts, that's on them and you should address that. If they only installed your unit, then they realistically should have done some poking around and seen if your ducting was adequate in the first place before install. If they did their math for CFM (airflow) after install they should have known the airflow wasn't within standards and would have mentioned a new return duct then and there.
So their math could've been "close enough", they didn't do the math in the first place, and/or they didn't size your return air duct and just assumed it would work with your units tonnage. Of course that's just a few possibilities, can't say for sure without being there. Getting a second opinion should be your first move.

i'm trying to figure out what all these inlets into a sump pump are.

i'm sure the black ones are from the original weeping tile, but i can't figure out what the white pvc ones are.

i'm assuming the white one on the foundation side was added during a foundation repair. there was really heavy rain recently and the ground outside of the house was like a lake. water was trying to pour in from the white pvc that is capped/taped. i don't know why they tried capping it off.

the other white one could be the washing machine drain or something?

Got a samsung fridge/freezer (double door), and it looks to be fucked. Overnight the freezer went up to 15C, but the fridge is only 5C. I cleaned the coil at the back because I assumed that was the issue, and I think before then it might've been misreporting the temperature but I can't be sure because I didn't check it first.

Any ideas? I've got it plugged back in but I don't know how long it'll take to get back down to temp, it doesn't sound like it's doing much.

This is going to sound simple but it really works.

Find a good shelf, mantelpiece spot, etc. for your phone. Somewhere where it's visible, easy to get to if you need to (no stepping over anything) but not on the coffee table or in arm's reach of your usual sitting spot. Put your phone on audible ringing and check it's clear you can hear it even in the next room if it rings/ get a text. Make sure that (if you use notifications on socials) only the text/WhatsApp noise is on, and all other apps have silent notifications. You may wish to put a charging cable there.

Your phone lives on the shelf while you are in the house. You now know you will not miss anything urgent (you will hear it and can see the screen). You can use your phone while standing by the shelf only. You can take your phone with you out of the house.
Then fill your time with other activities and devices. Read books, or an ereader. Use your laptop or your TV. Maybe clean the place up.

my fill valve looks just like the lower one but I got a flap like the top one. Either way I think you nudged me in the right direction enough to fix it. Looking at it more closely, when I hold the handle for a few seconds it fills the bowl more like the old flap. If I don't hold it, I see the flap floating open for like a second but then air bubbles come out right away and it closes, causing the bowl not to fill up.

This. There is probably my some foam or felt around each bushing that is supposed to soak up oil and wick it to the bushing. I just had to tear my garage fan apart and the foam wick was disintegrated from age. Had to unstake the bushing mounts from the motor housing and make some felt wicks to go in there and then load it up on oil.

First you need to find out what kind breaker it is. There are a few different types and they are not compatible. You have a Siemens on there but I can't read the type (tipo). EC? CC? Find out what that is and get more like that. Siemens is good but I don't know if there are better ones that are compatible.

Next, your box is wired incorrectly. One breaker, one wire. Whatever lazy-ass handyman that did that probably put too many outlets on one breaker. Maybe that is why they are failing? They also used off-brand breakers. That might also be why they are failing. Cheap fucker.

I need to make an easily removable ring that goes around a lip in a cylinder. My current design looks like this, a neoprene ring fastened with velcro, with 4 pieces of solid core wire that form an X at the top for mounting.

The problem with this design are 2-fold. First, the velcro wears out, which means I need to replace it every 6 months. Second, the wires are slowly pulled upwards because the foam isn't very sturdy.

But I can't really think of a better design. The ring has to be installed from above, it needs a bit of clearance to go over the lip, it needs to weigh as little as possible, and it needs to be easily and quickly removed. I've considered something 3D printed with a hinge, but the wires need to be stiff because I need them to not pull away from the top, where they're attached to a rope.

It's 60mm dia with a 70mm lip. I'm considering some kind of 3D printed flange, but I don't think it'll open enough to get around the lip without eventually cracking. I could split it in 2, but then I have the issue of sticking it back together when its over the lip.

the stairs themselves might be ok but the step where it turns into the slab making up the path to the door is shitty, as well as the bottom. Maybe I could do some sort of foam jacking on the top part to try and get it to meet the path's slab better? If IPA doesn't work, I'd try acetone on cotton balls/paper towels, and then scotchbrite if necessary. Don't let acetone drip onto other parts, it might melt paint/plastic.

looks like it was bedded poorly and the ground underneath settled. you should be able to dig out a side and slip a jack under to push it up
obvious get a board under the jack to distribute pressure across entire step. once leveled out you could fill out underneath with more concrete or foam or dirt or whatever
