I'm building a detached garage. I plan to trench a water line from an irrigation pump so I can have a utility sink and a couple spigots.

My question is, the garage won't be heated in the winter. How should I run this so it is easy to drain in the winter? Just put a spigot at the lowest point of the plumbing? Plumb in some kind of air hose attachment I can hook a compressor to? Something else?

as water freezes it will push out excess water through the valve
also
you can also use pex, which expands and tolerates freezing decently
insulate the lines
bury 2' deep to be out of freeze range
