hey OP, fish expert here, those are usually made by Panasonic to recharge the electric eels, not for human products, you can safely throw them in the ocean it'll bring some joy to the local marine life

I would definitely save those for my flashlights, I never seem to find any 3000mah cells and Samsungs can't be that bad, right?
>>

All my flashlights take buttontops can I can't ever seem to find any.

Just add a piece of metal to fill the gap.

I don't really want to have loose copper shims in my gear, so I guess I need to buy a soldering iron.
>>
There are 10k kits on Aliexpress that take 18650.

I had a cheap speaker that used a cheap lithium battery that only lasted about 4 hours on one charge. I replaced it with 2 18650s and the fucker lasted 30 hours and got a lot louder. The only issue was you couldn't turn the volume past 80 percent or you'd burn the speaker up. That and I had to hard wire in a custom charging cord so I could charge it with my 18650 charger.

good one

For 18650 buttons I usually use a flat little magnet; I've pulled a few out of packages that have a magnetic flap/door to preview products.

They will fit. Tape them together and use a condom.

did you install them in series or in parallel?

>>3005178
always use a condom

Little blob of solder on the positive contact of the flashlight if you can disassemble and get to it will suffice. Just don't put your battery in backwards after this modification.
>>
>>3005371
china sells tiny little magnets you can put on the end of lithium cells. its a removable button top essentially.

Just put the blob on the positive contact of the battery, a little flux and a couple seconds of heat wont hurt it

>>3005407
Magnets are easily chipped, a piece can fall down between the positive and negative insulation and short out the cell
>>
>>3006147
I've never had one of these magnets chip or break. I also don't think I've seen any batteries wrapped loose enough to let material slide through. Magnets are a lot easier and safer than heating a cell with a soldering iron and can be easily removed if you want to spot weld the battery later.
