I'm a cabinet maker looking to make a workshop for woodworking, metalworking, and some basic electronics. I have nothing in the space right now but I have a bunch of cabinets and a bench top ready if that's the best use of the space.
What and how should I fill the area? How should it be organized?

You're a cabinet maker, but you have no idea how to set up a woodworking shop? Interesting.

I'm working with a 1.4m x 3.6m space, I don't have a giant warehouse. My main issue is I have lots of free cabinets but making a wall of cabinets may not be a good use of space.

Your space is 4 and a half fucking feet deep? How the fuck are you going to do *just* woodworking in a space 4 and a half fucking feet deep? You couldn't maneuver a full sized sheet of plywood inside that space. Then you want to add metal working on top of that? You could barely fit a standard size workbench in that space and have enough room to stand next to it. Like, how big to you think metalworking tools are? You might be able to use a fucking file inside that space, not a decent sized lathe or drill press. Forget about a cabinet saw or a CNC machine. You might be able to do basic electronics inside that space.

Read the fucking book linked here: >>3004817 10x18 is the space you need for a home shop. Not fucking 4.5x11. Someone a hell of a lot smarter than you wrote that book and they did a damn good job at it. At least get a shed or something.

Where the fuck is the CNC or lathe coming from? I'm not looking to turn the space into a mini factory. It's a garage and work shop space.
Things will have to go on casters, the car taken out when working in the area, storage above the garage door. I went through the book, the spaces and layouts used are too big.

The bench top could be the main work surface. Drop saw and cut-off saw on a table with a shelf for swapping between them. A saw horse to allow longer cuts.
I'm looking for those kinds of ideas and what to do with the 3.6m wall.

You want to do metal working without a CNC or even a fucking lathe? Yeah. >>3004821 Is right. Bingo. Hiding thread.

You don't need those fancy tools. I've done fine with a welder, grinder, die grinder, files, and other basic shit. I have no idea what you guys are imagining a normal home workshop has.

the op description
>cabinetmaker
here in burgerland that implies at least a semi commercial entity with equipment to handle volume panel goods like a holz her sliding table scoring saw and a timesaver sander and a hot edgebander and a cnc router with a vac table that can hold minimum 2 full sheets and enough in/outfeed room for each etc
screwing ikea shit together in your garage is hardly fine woodworking

I see. I'm a cabinet maker(at work), I'd like to have a place where I can make fun stuff like pic related. I only mention the cabinet maker part because I have access to a bunch of free cabinets that I can fill the area with. I don't think that's the best use of space so I made this thread.

Probably don't need a laser cutter CNC for something like this.

Here's what I have so far. I used the 800mm cabinets because I have 6 wire frame drawers that fit behind regular doors. I'd prefer using the 600mm cabinets but I think drawers that don't hold dust would be better than an open shelf cabinet.

Cabinets I can get for very cheap due to minor damage:
Base: 150mm, 4x600mm, 450mm,
Wall : 800mm, 2x300mm.
Special cabinets: 300mm(h) x 300mm(d) x 900mm(w)
