How bad of an idea are these? I think I could complete it for $150-$300 depending how much a second mower costs. Mowing my property currently takes over an hour, and a ride on isn't currently an option.

No idea about the clippings, I never use a catcher and don't plan on copying that design.

I mow a half acre with a 21" push mower. I thought I could get away with going cheap since my last couple cheap mowers lasted forever. My Yardmax mower is a cheap piece of shit. Fortunately I've been able to have them replace parts under warranty but this thing has no longevity. I'm going to sell it in the Spring before it completely falls apart and get a Toro.

Only way to make a contraption like this work is for one mower to be slightly forward or behind (as most decks on riders are set up) and for the one on the left to shoot out the back via cutting a hole in the mulching box.
