How's the job outlook for plumbers?
>>
>>3006860
shitty
>>
Data centers are going to use up all the potable water, we're going to have to resort to using the three seashells and squeezing drippings from animal dung

It's a deadend
>>
pretty good honestly
plumbing scares people because it's wet and shitty
but electricians are oversaturated, i can find probably 10 electricians in town but maybe a couple of decent plumbers that don't give off roto rooter vibes
and when plumbers are needed, people will pay whatever you charge because good luck finding someone else that day
>>
>>3006862
Mountains are full of water and constantly replenished.
>>
>>3006862
None of this is remotely true.
>>
>>3006860
Every house needs plumbing. All plumbing needs to be fixed at some point. Or the kitchen needs to be remodeled. Unless our entire civilisation collapses, we'll always need plumbers.

>>3006864
yeah we're constantly busy
>new construction area, needs plumbers
>old area, shit failing: needs plumbers
>moderate area people want to remodel: needs plumbers
i am stuck working overtime every week because they demand is relentless. we have to rotate guys on call so everyone else can sleep
the money is crazy
375$ to auger a toilet
410$ to change an anglestop
2-3k for a basic water heater replacement
city and well water keep getting worse, you're retarded not to have filtration systems
and if you don't get them you're guaranteed to need a $250 toilet flapper replacement or new faucets and cartridges every 5 years
and all the new shit fails in 5-10 years
>>
>>3006881
to elaborate
>boomers are dying, so many old women whose husbands can no longer handy man shit
>middle age millenial women that never settled down with a man but managed to afford to buy a house
>fat chud millenial men that just can't do anything
>corporate ownership of single family homes that are responsible for repairs has skyrocketed
majority of everyone is dependent on the service industry
>>
>>3006881
Can you ever just decline a job? Seems pretty easy if you can be selective with your work
>>
>>3006861
>shitty
do all you niggers think the plumbing in new buildings just magically appears?
there are 2 kinds of plumbers
turd herders
and turd chasers.
you want to be a turd herder.
aka new construction plumbing.
>>

i worked for a company once that just outsourced all drain cleaning to roto rooter. that was great
realistically it's good money
I find it hard to refuse a job, psychologically I feel obligated to offer solutions I can provide
I will immensely intentionally overprice it if I don't want to do it
Way too often people just say yes anyway
Yeah it ends up being profitable but really I feel like i would have paid to not do it...
Sometimes I subtely recommend other companies that are more qualified, but these fucking goyim have already built an attachment to me and want ME to do it
great for reviews but fuck I wish I did less
>>
>>3006891
in florida new construction operates on a 2-3% profit margin and sucks ass. It depends where you live
>>
>>3006894
doesn't change my point that there is no shit involved in new construction unless you fucked up and have to go fix it.
2-3% sounds like a lot more illegals need to get deported to me.
>>
>>3006881
>$250 toilet flapper
The fuck is wrong with americans?
>>
>>3006904
250$ to pay some guy to bring it to your house and put it in. The part is probably 25$
>>
>>3006904
>>3006949
it's opportunity cost. it isn't worth it for my company to stop my truck and pull out a tool for 20m for less
it's like 350/hour before materials+markup
supposedly we operate on a 10% profit margin target
>>
>>3006860
>AI can't do it
>indians cant wrap their heads around the concept of indoor plumbing
It already clears two of the biggest threats to the American job market right out of the gate. I'd say it's looking pretty good
>>
>>3006866
This just means more and even bigger data centers
>>
I quit my comfy night security job soon and enter plumbing (by my own will bc fuck it I need some real shit and horrors in my life, as well as actually useful skills). Give me your pro advices.
>>
>>3006860
It's pretty good. Got started doing service plumbing this year and was busy as fuck for a couple of months before things slowed down now. It'll probably pick back up when gas prices aren't fucking insane.

Oh, yeah, I'm sure the oil companies will just lower the price once they get tired of carrying around those massive bundles of cash they have been making by gouging the fuck out of us every time a butterfly farts in Uzbekistan or whatever. And that Trump won't do something else unhinged to fuck up the economy during the next 800+ days he has left in office. Or that some other shitstain world leader of corpo suit shithead won't do some other bullshit to fuck the rest of us over for their own benefit. Everything is just gonna be god damn sunshine and rainbows. The same bullshit system that has us "choosing" the least awful option between two cognitively impaired pedophile octogenarians isn't making any changes but somehow everything is going to be wonderful! Just give it a few more months!

Tighten your belt, fucko. This is the new normal. We allowed them to do this and it is only going to get worse until we stop letting them get away with it.

>boohoo why can't everything always be good

Grow up, Ivan
