What the hell is wrong with flippers?
Why do they do this?
>>
>>3006972
it's not the same house tho
>>
>>3006978

yes it is... google it fucktard, theres videos of the inside of the house and that is what it shows.
>>
i counted the steps, its 13 each
thats good enough for me
>>
>>3006990
so they moved the wall and the mezzanine a foot and a half closer to the stair case?
>>
>>3007027
The house opposite my grandad's used to be absolutely beautiful inside, had a huge open room with a sort of fireplace island thing made of ornate mahogany in the middle. Everything fancy, wood, patterned, gorgeous blue patterned carpet. Old guy died and new people moved in, turned it all into little white boxes full of ikea looking furniture. Walls can be added and moved in service of making the modern house whiter and boxier.

>thinking a boomer house wont rot after 35+ years

>What is perspective and focal length?
>>
>>3007027
Yes, it looks like so...
>>
>>3006990
>theres videos of the inside of the house
Imagine ruining some place like this with home cheapo shit
I hate flippers so goddamn much

Let's not pretend tiled countertops were a great thing.
I like wallpaper, but have no desire to deal with it when it gets damaged. Wrapping the entire house in one busy wallpaper is distracting. We did work on a house with silver and repeating pine tree patterns.
The hate for modernity is understandable, but a clean house allows the next owners to add as they like.
>>
>>3007027
I don't know how they got to the second level in the 2024. There looks to be a five stair on the right side of the 90s. The back wall would have to transition to headered arches or something.

>Let's not pretend tiled countertops were a great thing.
They kind of were, anon.
>>
>>3006972
top looks like it smells of urine and jaded attitude
>>
>>3007094
The old house did have some charm, but honestly if they cost the same I'd take the updated version over the old any day of the week. Less busy and looks cleaner.
>>
>>3006972
It's a class thing. Poor people live in run down shacks that are never clean. Middle class people are therefore drawn to clean designs to distance themselves from the poor. Since nouveau riche have no taste and vastly outnumber the old money (and are far more visible) there's no point where the horseshoe bends back towards complex/busy designs.

literally exactly the same except the walls are painted white..
>>
>>3007132
Oh no, not the heckin wallpaperino!
>>
>>3006972
Gen-Z fags have an insatiable need to change things when change isn't necessary or even a good thing.
>>
>>3006972
The 21st is marked by a massive shift towards cowardice. Nobody dares be bold. Nobody dares to buy a red car, or bold wallpaper, or carpets. Everybody has been conditioned to temporarily live in sterile monstrosities.
>>
>>3007132
>literally exactly the same except this huge massive difference!
Oh really, you noticed?

Then don't damage your wallpaper?
>a clean house allows the next owners to add as they like
No, it's not a "clean house" it's a ruined one. Now anyone who buys it has to spend a fortune fixing what you fucked up.
>>3007106
>the updated version
We call it "prison chic" around my house.
>Less busy and looks cleaner.
picrel looks nice and clean too, doesn't it?

>prison chic
LOL
I didn't know this term existed. You can even buy toilet paper rolls with little help messages written on them. Zoomers are so mindbroken they want to larp as asylum residents.
>>
>>3007132
And they removed the wainscoting.
>>
>>3006972
>top: your smelly wine aunt's house, everything reeks of cat piss
>bottom: soulless corpo-aesthetic house lacking any warmth
how bout neither
>>
>>3006972
>Why do they do this?
because no one wants to live in a house that looks like a brothel.
>>
>>3007183
>Then don't damage your wallpaper?
You can't have kids. Go grass cloth and it will show fingerprints from the day it's installed. Paper is for accent pieces and giving a room design. Don't use it to put checkerboard patterns across an entire house.

What I've fucked up? Let's see your tile countertops and golden oak cabinets. Your belief that the 90s didn't provide some of the most heinously beige houses isn't in line with reality.
>>
>>3007290
>But what if I buy cheap garbage wallpaper? Muh kids will mess it up.
Anaglypta and Lincrusta wallpaper have been around since the Victorian days. You can wash it.
You flippers are worse than termites. You can't even imagine products better than the cheapest shit sold by the cheapest big box store.
>>
>>3007295
Nta, but what is it with you people and wanting spaces to be this busy, excessively colorful cartoon nonsense?
>>
>>3007029
>little white boxes
>ikea looking furniture
I hope they fucking die
>>
>>3006972
Given the prices in that neighborhood, doubt this is a flip. Sometimes people just have shitty taste.
>>
>>3006972
Much better now
>>
>>3007295
I don't flip and I'm not sure what gives the impression that this is even good timing to be flipping. You sound like the carpenter that posts the same arch every week.

The cheapest shit or imported hand-painted, wallpaper isn't the easiest to put up and it can get completely fucked up if hung incorrectly.
>>
>>3006972
demand issue. millennials like living in an untextured unity beta project

I personally think they decorated it like that just for the movie and it was never like that before or since.
>>

>wanting spaces to be this busy, excessively colorful cartoon nonsense
absolutely vile herbew post
>>
>>3007121
Seems stupid to modify the ceiling for no reason
I wonder why they did it?
>>
>>3006972
Every boomer I know remodeled their house, me and my neighbor kept our childhood homes as close to original as possible with the exception of replacing wiring and bathroom out of necessity to avoid mold or whatever maintenance issues come down the line. It's always women who want to remodel everything, then some years later they regret it if they don't sell, because of nostalgia. I just wish I'd taken more pictures for future restoration.

>>3008281
They didn't it's just the lighting; the staircase still there:

Bottom house looks much cleaner and looks easier to keep clean
Other than that, i don't really have a problem with upper aestheic except the fact that that kind of decor is a magnet for dust, grime and grease
