do you shop at Harbor Freight? I bought a bunch of ICON tools and was impressed with the quality for the price. I used to buy from the Snap-Off dealer down the street but now I only buy if I have some automotive tool that's special and only they make it.
yeah they're mostly good tools for the money.follow the age old saying of buying the cheapest tool you can find when you need it and if you use it enough to the point where it breaks that's when you upgrade it to something better.and then you return that bitch because harbor freight doesn't give a shit like that.

These days the deals aren't quite as common and a lot of their stuff is priced higher to begin with, but it also seems like the quality has overall gone up as well. HF is my go-to for any hand tool, but I am a bit wary of their power tools. I bought a Bauer drill and it only last me like 6 months before it burned up. Now, this was almost a decade ago, so they may be better now, though I'm firmly in the DeWalt ecosystem now so fuck it I guess
HF is pet friendly too, at least mine is. I can bring my dog there and I like it!!

Used to go there just for parts storage, but one time I needed a female replacement plug after I accidentally cut through an extension cord. They're fine for most small things, but they're not always the cheapest. I got one of their mini toolboxes and use it as a valet.
