Retileimg my bathroom, the contractor i work fo wanted the tiler to do it, but he is anoying and i dont want him in my apartment, so im doing it my self, never laide any tile before but ive worked asisting the tiler a bunch over the last few years so i have a basic understanding of what to do, still this is takeing for ever
>>3008249That is the problem I have doing DIY stuff. I am so fucking slow at a lot of it. It took me hours to re-caulk my bathtub. 30 minutes removing the old stuff and 3/4th of the Hyborian Age to re-apply it because it would look fucked up so I would wipe it off and re-apply until I got it right. Did some drywall, same shit. 30 minutes cutting and screwing the boards down and half a fucking day mudding and taping the joints. Would have been long if I planned on actually finishing the wall but it was just for a garage so I didn't even paint it. BY the time I ever have to do that stuff again I've lost what little muscle memory I gained and I still suck at it. I've re-done all the caulking in my house as it has worn out and it is always years between each effort and I always suck at it. Doing the exterior windows is the worst, one side is vinyl (smooth) and the other side is brick. I can only make that look passable.
>>3008252I am a construction worker for a loveing but ive been doing unskilled labore, im trying to level up
>>3008249Which Palestinian family did you steal that apartment from?
>>3008259Non bit the tiler is an arab and im stealing his work

>>3008296They put railroad tracks on gravel.
>>3008252It's ok. Taking hours is normal as long as what you're dealing with doesn't cure within minutes.
>>3008308And they repack it every so often because it shifts over time.
>>3008308yeah they have to, nothing else will constantly absorbs the shock from train rolling through. I don't know how fat OP is but I've never seen grave under tile
ur supposed to work ur way out, not trap urself in
>>3008308haha, epic joke broI'll wait till you start tripping over your pealing tiles to have another round of lols
>>3008367Im 60kg thebgravel is standard substrate in my country>>3008370It dose not matter any more the contractor said irs ugly and used the wrong tile have to pull it all up
>>3008385what country we are talking about? we put sidewalk tiles over substrate where i livetiling a bathroom over gravel is literally African cargo cult tier
>>3008745OP is an Israeli settler in ambiguously Israeli territory
>>3008745tiling over gravel will last just fine.. i assume there were no poured floors in the house?whatever, weird but whatever should probably put down some sorta mesh
