Hello anons, Its my first time posting on here. Looking at getting a generator to power my house if I lose power this winter. I just need to power some freezers, a furnance fan and tv, charge phones and stuff. Nothing big. But i live at 7500 feet and will be running it on propane, both things cause power output loss I believe. Any one have recommendations or experience with generators and high altitude? Thanks.
>>3012733I have gas for it as well, but my 55 gal tank is in my truck bed, figure i can use gas or my 100gal hankhill tank. but think I need to do something to the carb so it can get more 02 or someshit.
>>3012733Just put a turbo charger on it.
Get a honda EU2000, get the .6 mm (IIRC) jet, never worry about it again.
Buy one rated at a higher output and assume a lower maximum. Unless it's turbo or supercharged, you're not getting around the altitude (lack of oxygen) problem. It's the reason older IDI diesels started getting equipped with turbos.
>>3012733champion has carburetor jets for their generators when used above 5500 feet. IDK if propane need a different jet.if you want the gasoline jet you just have to request it.
