I was looking at the archives trying to see exactly what thread they were trying to get rid of, but I couldn't find a pattern. At first I thought it might have been one of the /edg/ guys, but looking at the archive, the spam doesn't seem to coincide with /edg/ filling up. Maybe it's just someone who wants to mess with the board.

So I was going through the archives and it seems the spammer was also talked about on /edg/, so it's possible that he does in fact have some link to that thread. It seems to be a guy who doesn't like /edg/ and wants it gone from the board. They claimed that the bumps seem to coincide with /edg/ reaching bump limit. I will have to investigate to see if that is in fact the case.
