How do I get my hair to be like this?
(I know this pic is AI but this is the best long hair wolfcut on men I can find on pinterest and google)
The biggest problem I have is that my hair is too frizzy. I use shampoo and conditioner once a week, but I think the problem is cotton bedsheets. I'm looking for one of the silk hair cap things but I can't find it anywhere. Is a waxed shower cap good enough?
>>
the most important thing for this look is hair texture, the cut is pretty basic and secondary (basically just long layers)
if your hair is frizzy and probably dry, then thats what you have to work on most (as you've already correctly noticed)
what's your routine like rn? what shampoo/conditioner?
I suspect that your hair needs more care, specifically a leave in serum and a smidge of hair oil would be essential since those are the two things that actually stay on your hair for days between washing and create a protective layer around it to prevent moisture loss and other damage

It's not in the hair, kid.

Hair is different for everybody.
How many times you wash a week, salt/no salt, type of hair, weather, diet (oiliness) and genetics.
You can try out different sham/cond with/without salt for the frizzy.
It's a layered cut, as mentioned, so start from there and start changing some things.
Some hairs look better in cold, hot, dry, humid etc and it's different per person.
Look at how hair salons wash customer hairs, it's a somewhat long ~3-4min head/hair massage with shampoo.
I like to cond 3x a week. I start by shamp or no shamp wash, then put on the cond and wash the rest of my body without letting water hit it.
Many say that hot showers damage the hair and make it frizzy, so keep it warm or just go neutral/cold.

Either new genetics or a lot of work trying to force your hair to be a different type than it is.

Just be a frizz wolf. It's the confidence that makes it look cool, not perfecting the hair.

You don't like the hair, you like the model.

I do think I take care of my hair just fine. I use coconut and rosemary oil twice a week too, it's just that it doesn't do much I don't think

Once a week, no salt, 2B or 2C I would say, temperate climate, I eat clean, fruit and veg and oats for brekkie, rice and veg and eggs and meat for lunch. 20/4 intermittent fast
I shower with cold water soon as I realised how bad even warm water is for skin and hair texture

i literally have this exact hair style length and texture lol and all i do is swim in the ocean a few times a week and shampoo maybe once a week at most. i dont even use a comb just run my fingers through it. most women in my life are envious

I'm going to be honest, even on an ugly ass mug, that hair is glorious and just goes to show that hair is a very important part of your appearance.

Like I said in >>18683609 everybody is different. You need to try different things.
A lot of people say sea/salt water spray is amazing for the hair, but that frizzes my hair up and dries it extremely fast. For some it even helps reduce dandruff, for others (like me) it increases it.
Takes about a week or two of changing things to really notice.
Maybe try without the coconut, then rosemary, then test shamp/cond with salt.
Oh, there's also how you dry it, avoid hot blowers. And are you hydrating it? It doesn't have to be special expensive products. You just need to get one that's thick and leave it on for a few minutes while showering.

from "frizz" im guessing you have natural waves or maybe even curls. what worked for me to "fight" frizz:

clarifying/exfoliating shampoo. suave clarifying shampoo is fine.

correct conditioner - are you getting buildup (dandruff, crusty scalp)? go to a stylist who cuts curly hair and ask them what they recommend. or google "scienc-y hair blog", go to product list, look for the descriptions that best describe your hair. "for people who get build-up easily" section was great, let me find giovanni which was cheap and worked super well for my hair.

conditioning method. search up squish to condish. do that to the ends of your hair and wash out your roots normally (hold your hair out to keep your ends from getting over-washed).

apply leave-in and then gel. this is the stuff financially speaking you want to ball out on. i really like the reverie products im using. let your hair dry with gel, then shake out once the cast has set. your hair will be great.

your hair will just naturally get more frizzy the further you get from a wash day. you can get a "texture spray" + light oil, spray through your hair then apply oil, and that might give you a day or two with less frizz. i can get about 4-5 days of decently nice looking hair before i start to just naturally frizz out and I wash again. cool thing about being a dude is that nobody really gives a shit if your hair is wet or drying off.

oh more tips i forgot:

honestly finding a good conditioner is just gonna be a bit of a crapshoot. just buy some relatively cheap conditioners from the scienc-y hair blog page i mentioned and try them out. i tried to figure out whether or not i was high or low porosity and couldnt but then just found some good stuff outta nowhere.

for washing:
get one of those silicon scalp scrubbers and use it after you apply shampoo
squishing out all the excess water from your hair after shampooing
apply gel + leave in after rinsing the conditioner out. dry after you apply products. you can squeeze out a little bit of water if you want before applying, just make sure you put a small amount of leave in on your hands so you're not fucking up your hair

dry off your hair with a SOFT t-shirt by squeezing your curls into it, almost like squsih to condish. honestly the amount your hair is dripping and wet after products/time to dry is kind of indicative of how good your routine is. if your hair is dripping forever after you're out of the shower and dry off and you see frizz pretty quick, that might mean you're not getting enough hydration in your curls.

desu just google curly girl, a lot of the specific advice sucks but it's a good basic framework for caring for waves/curls

Forgot one thing that causes frizz, the hairbrush.
Avoid plastic, get wood ones or wood with the bristle and comb holding the hair so it doesn't pull on the root, if it's tangled.
The wood ones last many, many years. Any cheap one works really.
I think the one that is all around bristle is for curly hair. Not sure.
There are some brushes that are made of pure wood, even the comb heads.

you need chadeuro hair type 2a/b genes in you, basically spanish/italian. if you have straight hair youre fucked and need to do a ton of work just look at youtube women
>>
>>18683524
You probably have curly hair. Use conditioner every day and shampoo rarely if ever. Your hair will never look like that without straightening. Pic rel is gonna be more realistic. Use conditioner every day. That's the most important tip.

Meds aren't any more likely to have this hair texture than Northern Europeans.

I'm doing once a week shampoo and conditioner each 2 days and I feel it's much better than shampooing + conditioning each 2 days that I used to do since always. Still far from perfect, tho.
>>
>>18683524
Do you use regular conditioner or leave in? If your hair is too frizzy you need leave in, or just use a regular conditioner in very small amounts and don't wash it off

Careful about asking your stylist for a "wolf cut" if this is what you want, because wolf cuts often involve heavy layering that thin out the back/ends significantly, whereas this style is pretty full with minimal layering.
It's really more of a standard long hair style, but with curtain bangs.

get a nice warm brush and use it with a heat protectant/frizz reducer or you could alternatively use a blow dryer with a ion generator
i would recommend using leave in conditioner mattering on your hair type, and typically it's just adjusting your hair care to your hair type
