The thing about wide leg pants is they look kinda good because they give the impression of a straight, sleek leg, which works somewhat well if you have a remotely v-tapered physique, meaning your shoulders are broader than your waist. The problem with them and the reason zoomer masses love them is because they don’t understand that true straight leg and classic cut pants do the same but better and they don’t realize that because they have such a hard time finding and sizing pants. If you can find straight leg or classic cut pants that give that long sleek, straight silhouette look with the right rise, right seat, and most importantly (because wide leg get these wrong) leg break, then they look a lot better. Sometimes some loose cuts do the same thing and also look better. The real problem is the enormous variability in cuts. You basically just want to find a pair that makes your legs look sleek and straight and tapers down from the seat and to the feet properly.
