I'm 6'1 and I have a short torso and wide hips. Low rise looks ridiculous on me, mid rise isn't ideal either since it still emphasizes the hips while very high rise looks like OP pic but at least hides my hips. My ideal rise is mid to high but it's hard to find. It's all about your body composition. I find low rise only works with guys who have a no difference between waist and hips.
