Is it worth it to dress better when you're not fit?

I want to step up my wardrobe but I'm afraid that it will open me up for judgement and I'm not where I want to be looks wise.
>>
Being fit is more important, it doesn't take much to not dress like a slob
>>
yawn another demoralization thread. guess we should all just give up if we arent mister olympia. whats the point abloo bloo
>>

Like it or not your body is a part of how you look.
>>

Is it worth it to not look like a sloppy pig who just crawled out of the bed? Yes. Dressing well isn't just about looking hot and pulling women. It sends the message that you're a grown, conscious man who has shame and self-respect, is disciplined, and capable of paying attention to details. That makes you look more trustworthy and reliable to the people around you. When you're well-dressed and presentable, people instinctively give you respect, treat you better and often give you preferential treatment, which makes life much easier. And dressing well isn't the same as dressing in gaudy expensive costumes. Dress in a dignified and respectable way. Not too flashy, but not sloppy and overly casual either.

BTW, that guy looks really tryhard. Those tight clothes look like shit on him. Fat people like him should wear looser clothes so that all their bulges are evened out. Slim pants with tapered legs look really feminine on fat men. The tight sweater and jacket look like something a woman would wear.

>why look better when I could look worse?
>>
>>18709993
he's wearing too many competing colours and patterns. he needs to lose the jacket and wear a simple white dress shirt or something (and tuck it in) under the light red coat, which would look better without the spotted pattern. not wear bleach-bright white sneakers either.
>>
These godawful and stupid responses.
The truth is this. You will waste money on clothes that won't fit you when you are a human size. Being a human size is the peak for fashion.

Hope this helps. Good luck to your very fat ass.

>you're a grown, conscious man who has shame and self-respect
If this was true, he wouldn't be fat. Go get a clue, loser.

not being fat is easy
>>
>>18710093
depends, unhealthy food is a lot cheaper
>>
>>18710097
LOLLLLLLLL
>>
>>18710097

Eating less than you currently are is always going to be cheaper.

Dried beans/lentils are cheap as fuck and also health as fuck (high protein + fiber content + filling). Replace your other carb sources with those. Way cheaper than the junk food he's probably guzzling down his gullet.

Lose the weight first. Then get a new wardrobe. The smaller size will help police you into staying fit.
>>
>>18710097
Its less about that and more about total caloric intake. Portion size is key. You can eat nothing but "healthy food" and gain weight if you are eating more than your max every day (which for most people is around 2000 calories). Eat at around 1200-1500/day to lose it.
Also don't make the mistake of thinking you can eat more because you start working out. "you cant outrun a bad diet".

t. former fatty
>>
>>18710097
Move more, eat less. Its not complex.
>>
>>18710097
Zero food is actually cheaper than that and works like a magic pill for fat loss.

>Is it worth it to dress better when you're not fit?
No. But what that guy has on in the OP is just how a basic adult man is supposed to look. Yes the majority of guys (especially in North America) don't put that much effort in to their clothes so it looks try hard but it's really the bare minimum to looking like an adult.
Lose the weight first before you invest in your wardrobe. It doesn't even take long to lose the weight. People are just grossly lazy and greedy and undisciplined.
>>
>>18710653
He's dressed like a teenager or a woman, not an adult man. The bright white sneakers alone cancel his man card. Then there's that gay pattered shirt, and the weird patterned sweater clashing with it, and the tight ass girly denim jacket. And to top it all off, the slim/tapered chinos accentuating his wide childbearing hips and thicc thighs. So yes, it does look tryhard and zesty, but for different reasons.

You sound weirdly gay

For anyone reading, don't do this. I tried it, and not only did I get gallbladders, but I also got multiple muscles torn because they got so weakened by lack of protein.
>>
>>18710814
Yeah, don't be retarded >>18710581. The way you lose weight is by eating in caloric deficit. Eat like 15-20% less calories than your daily requirement, so that your body is forced to use up the stored fat. Don't just stop eating. That will put your body in starvation mode, where it tries to store MORE fat every time you eat because it will think it won't get another chance, and it also puts your liver under a lot of stress. Hence, the gall stones.

So yes, if you want to lose weight, eat normal nutritious food, but in caloric deficit, which will let your body lose weight gradually while also getting enough energy and nutrients to function and maintain itself.
>>
>>18710794
you're being overly pedantic
I was referring to just the very basics of slacks, collard shirt, sweater, and jacket, as opposed to the jeans and t-shirt that 90% of men wear these days
>>
>>18710825
100% correct. I would add on the very basic act of fucking walking for thirty minutes to an hour a day, but at least three or four times a week.

90% of men don't even wear jeans these days. It's just sweatpants or shorts. If you show up wearing jeans and a button up shirt, they'll think you're going to a fancy restaurant or something.
