I need the most comfortable pants. Its summer so sweats are out. Additionally I have a mighty bulge and might get arrested if I wore them anyhow.

I used to get a kind of half weight sweats, which were akin to what Bruce Lee wore. So like a lounge pant. Pajama bottoms are out cause I need the elastic ankle for bike riding.

I have hank hill level, baby, white man ass, so im sick of fighting my belt all day. Its so bad im considering switching to a skirt....er, kilt.

And they need to be cheap. Im very tough on clothes, so as super tough are cheap rarely cohorts, Im keen on as insubtainal as possible.

My favorite pair or pants ever were some Van Husen linen, cargos. Sadly they had no elastic waist. I know elastic belts exist, but that would add price to something that should be built in, but its not a deal breaker.

And thrift is ruled out. I won't wear used pants. The only used article I won't wear. Holy lord, what people get up to in their pants.

Are you fat or something?
>>
I switch sweatpants out for those fleece sweat shorts and track pants in the summer.
>>
>>18712635
Beefy for sure. But trying to hold something up by a torniquet on a cylinder is just idiotic.

>>18712652
That's wild. So counter-intutive. They arent still hot as fuck being fleece?
>>
>>18712169
My favorites in summer are ll bean multisport pants and fjallraven abisko trail hybrid pants. They're both nice and cool.
>>

Oooof. I knew id run into taste on this board by those are little bit above my means (my nice way of saying for suckers). Those to brands are yuppie bait i wouldnt be caught dead. But im happy you found something you like. God bless.

>>18712652
Hey, thank you, cause I think you helped me remember the thin sweat pants/ ninja pants are called "pro fleece", which is nuts, but whatever.
>>

I got the ll bean ones for $38 on clearance at sheels and the fjallraven ones for like $150 on sale ar rei with a $100 gift card on top. Just wait for sales and clearances. I've done linen in summer but the lack of duribiliy sucks and they NEVER have good pockets. I only have 3 pairs of pants I wear normally and those are two of them. Then I have two pairs of flint and tinder chinos I also got on sale from huckberry for business casual. And I have a target suit with pants for when I have to wear a suit. But if I can help it I just wear the fjallraven cargo pants, ll bean sport pants, or 5.11 cargo pants. For shoes I wear either birkenstocks or brooks sneakers and with the chinos I have red wings beckmans in black cherry. I avoid anything formal. For summer shirts I just have a linen cotton hawaiian, a white seersucker, a white linen shirt, a shirt sleeve poly mix shirt, and a fleet of 100% cotton tee shirts and henelys. Mesh trucker hat, cotton bucket hat, straw cowboy hat, 2 pairs of oakleys. Packable 3 ply rain jacket with zipper pit vents I got from eddie bauer for $75 when they were closing all their brick and mortars across the country ~6 months ago. I also have a super loose and thin denim button up I will wear with half rolled sleeves for sun protection and a long sleeve vented eddie bauer shirt for sun protection just in the event of kayaking or hiking because poly is quick dry.

Some great info. Do you think redwings are worth it?
>durability
I just need the linens for season. Im wearing arbor wear rn. Ive worn even that to tatters.

Target has suits? What brand is the straw hat? I have 5 pairs of 5.11 big and tall pants I found? Where can I get rid of them?

Working as a tree trimmer? I have a cheap justin for hiking, fishing, kayaking. Just buy some black scrub pants. They'll have a shitload of pockets, be loose/flexible, be cool, and be cheap with a moderate durability and a drawstring+elastic waist.

I got them for free. Is hard to find cotton scrubs now. I forgot to mention that I want cotton. The manufacturers got what the wanted: everything is plastic now:
>>
>>18713677
Of course it's plastic, they're scrubs and need to hold up to sanitize extra hot wash cycles and dryers. Cotton shrinks and falls apart and takes forever to dry. If you want durable, light, and natural then look for hemp blend pants. They wont be cheap for something that is ~55% cotton ~45% hemp but they will exist as thin pants that are light and breathable. Cotton pants aren't really be made thin as they will just fall apart. You either have a twill or denim to choose from. Both hotter and more ball frying than you would want.

>hemp
Thats a great idea. Ty. But everything is plastic cause its industrial garbage and less than free for manufacturers. There arr synthetic laundry fibers in 40% of fish....

I still leaning toward linen, just remembering how it felt like being naked, is ultimately clothes should. I just love cotton. I used to buy the cheapest pants at walmart and they used to be 100% cotton, and were 11$. They breathed plenty fine. I dont know what people are talking about even with dri-fit stuff. Its plastic. Its like having a trash bag against your skin. As these cotton khakis wore, they got even more breathable. I like suspenders. Its just a good pair are expensive and need to match with good pants or they just wedgie you and tear the pants apart.

Pants biggest design flaw, or just inherent condition is that 2 inches of cloth sudden has to become 10 inches of cloth to cover the same area as the legs bend (over the knee, over the ass) im just fighting them all the time while working. Never had that problem with ninja/lounge/genie pants.

Well done. Here is your lucky quarter. Dont put it in your pocket.

And a second pic of this beautiful man.

Been there done that, I'm over it. I don't wear plastic undershirts or underwear because it's uncomfortable. But loose pants or a shell or windbreaker I have no problem with. I've had plenty of linen clothes including loose knit sweaters which were amazing, you could wear a 100% linen sweater in summer. But the stuff simply isn't durible. I've looked into hemp linen mixes and they're nearly impossible to find. But drawstring hemp/cotton pants are available, usually from specialty hemp clothing shops online. The patagonia ones are mixed with plastic and there is no point to that. At least with wool base layers mixing with polys is for durability and has a reason to happen. But to me the worst pants by far are jeans, they're hot in summer and cold in winter. They never fucking dry if you step into a puddle. They aren't as durable in abrasion as polys and aren't as durable for puncture wear as duck canvas. They're completely and utterly obsolete.
>>
>>18713819
Yeah it's amazing some stuff will be like 97% cotton, 3% polyester. Like.....why?

But its all about diluting, even with tiny percentages. All sodas have some amount of sucralose or stevia cause over billions of bottles it adds up to a lot. Its a game of pennies when its isnt a whole scale fuck over (100% polyester). I generally hate jeans and hate the fetishizing of them by hipsters. I wear them now out of nessicity, and getting older, Ive gotten colder, so I dont notice the heat, its only a comfort issue.
