>>18715574I've had pimple on my nose for at least since beginning of this year what's up?
>>18715707maybe even longer
>>18715574I've been injecting GHK-CU 2mg almost every day for about two months and don't think I really notice much of a difference. Mayyybe.. But Idk. Will keep it up for another 2 months at least. Might also start tretinoin
morning:>eye cream>moisturizer >sunscreennight:>eye cream>moisturizer What can I do better?
>>18715780Also, I use a good facial soap to clean the skin before apply the products
I finally received my first tube of tretinoin, and im actually kind of terrified of using it. How bad was the purge for you guys? How many of you didn't experience a purge at all? Approximately how far away from my eyes do I need to keep my tret application? like can i apply it to my unibrow area or is that too close?
You women are lucky you don't have to regularly shave your face. I know all the techniques and tricks. hot water/steam, shaving cream, safety razor, cartridge, electric. Doesn't matter. It'll never be perfect. Shaving is just inherently irritating to the skin.
>>18716033purge is worse the worse your acne isminor acne minor purging no acne you might not see any at all
>>18715715>injecting GHK-CUyou should stick to proven methods
>>18715707>Squamous Cell Carcinomai'd have a dermatologist look at it to be safe
Thoughts on estriol cream?
>>18716131Women love beards. Why shave?
>>18715780You don't need an eye cream.
Why was this product hidden from me my entire life? Game changer.
>>18715574tret is actually so easy, why did noone ever tell me?just dont layer it. just dont mix it.
>>18716201I used to have dark circles and they are barely visible now
>>18716319which eye cream?
>>18716310really? your skin isnt melting off, catching fire, becoming grotesque with purging, etc?
>>18716352I experienced redness, small breakouts and skin wouldnt accept anything, no lotion, serum, nothing. it was dry but would get irritated if i applied the lightest lotion.stopped mixing or layering tret and all issues disappeared.
>>18716382How long have you been taking it? People make it sound so fucking scary, but even the issues that mentioned disappeared don't sound that bad. If I ever stop being a bitch I'll try just applying it directly, tho.
>>18716386weeks, the redness lasted months.no redness when I rawdog it
>>18716310Same with taz
>>18716248Is the game changer that it comes in a spray bottle or something else?
>>18716427That's a big part of it, also it just sinks in really easily without any residue.
>>18716425first time i hear about taz, should i swap from tret to taz?
>>18716558nvm its not available in EUdoes anyone have any lotion recommendations?ive been using the basic one from Greek, its the only one my tret skin likes atm. the basic cerave lotion that always worked (the one with the pump) gets rejected. the more basic oily ones get rejected too.also I need a fcking sunscreen...
I realize all sunscreens contain some sort of polymer/acryl-whatever xantham gum plastic shit.
>>18716135wdym? injecting it leads to more production of collagen. i think thats well known
>>18716310which concentration do you use? i have 6 tubes of .05% and have been holding off bc i have too much shit to do this summer for the "break out" phase or whatever
>>187166290.05%mind you ive been trying to use it for like 2 years on and off now tho but Im still fairly sure the layering is what caused the irritation for me.I suggest you at least do one trial of>light moisturizer>1h wait>apply vaseline around eyes and on lips for protection>apply tret and see where it takes you instead of holding off. you should be finePS: eating less and avoiding lots of sugar and not eating 5h before bed /intermittent fasting are mandatory. in other words dont bother with cosmetics if you dont got the basics nailed down
>>18716637>>apply vaseline around eyes and on lips for protectionnta but damn niggy that's a nice tip. never would have thought of that.
>>18716650learned the hard way. debilitating dry eyes. fortunately it has improved since taking care of it.same with the layering. apparently the official instructions state to rawdog it as well.
>>18716637>not eating 5h before bed /intermittent fasting are mandatorywait is this real. i think i do it by default but i thought it was broscience
>>18716728yes digestion costs energy and worsens your sleep quality which ups your inflammation markers.
I want to finally reduce the giant clogged pores on my nose. What can you recommend to actually finally clear out the pores before I can shrink them? I've tried cleaners and pore strips and they literally never work. The dirt just feels too deep for the strip to grab them.
>>18716939get one of those tools that lets you extract each blackhead individually
my skin is all fucky and im not sure what to do. i eat well (as well as you can do without meat).. i work out relatively often, and i use sensitive skin products. im not sure how to fix it. im also getting wrinkles?? im not old
>>18717605looks like rosacea? you already taking vit c serum and tret?if yes go to a derm retard
>>18715574i have super tiny freckles that are sparsely spread around my eyes, they're almost unnoticeable but from a distance or just regular conversation distance they make my skin have this dirtyish brown color, and the bags under my eyes do not help the cause.i am getting solid 8hrs of sleep and i ice my face for the eye bags, cleanser, vitamin C serum and moisturizer for the face but those shit stain freckles man... i never feel clean enough
>>18717702vit c, tret and aha are said to reduce or fully remove freckles over timebut men like freckles anyway, they are cute

>>18716033I started using tret again about a month and a half ago after not using it for a year. My og prescription was costing too much so I switched to grey pharmas. I'm using .05 now instead of .025 and I had a pretty rough purging period about three weeks in. I didn't have much acne prior to starting tret mostly just pih. I experienced rough breakouts and severe dryness/peeling along my jawline but it ultimately subsided after a couple weeks. I haven't had any major breakouts since then and I'm currently using it five times a week and still working towards using it nightly.I personally put tret in my eyebrows. It's more about getting it on the skin underneath. Do not use it on your actual upper or lower eyes. The skin is too thin to handle it. Just follow the natural shape of your face and you should be good. If you want to play it safe, try applying moisturizer around your eyes before applying tret (provided your moisturizer is neutral enough to apply around the eyes. I use the big cerave tub.) I actually made the mistake of getting some tret on my upper eyelid and I'm currently dealing with a slight burning sensation whenever I apply moisturizer to the area. It'll get better though. I need to be more cautious.
how the fuck am i supposed to remove sunscreen if every fucking cleansing oil i use breaks me out. this shit is so stupid

I applied my tret to damp skin and now it's still raw 2 days later

thoughts? alternatives?only thing that doesnt seem to irritate my tret skin atm
>>18718132how is a cleansing oil breaking you out...? you're meant to wash it off afterwards. you don't need to use an oil based cleanser, btw, any old cleanser will work
>>18719725the OP recommends cerave foam cleanser which uses ceramides. ceramides can cause irritation tho.
>>18719727i suppose. also with oil cleansers you need to make sure the oil is properly emulsified through rubbing with wet hands before you rinse otherwise you might have oil residual left on your face but for someone who's breaking out it's safer to just not use them
>>18719741yes but your "any cleanser" advice is also bullshit.recommend a simple foam cleanser that doesnt have actives.
rate my routine Morning:>water-based cleanser>ascorbid acid 8% 3-4 drops>sbf 50 sunscreenEvening:>double cleanser (oil-based + water-based)>alternate between: 1 day AHA 5% - 1 day retinol 0,2% - 2 days rest>moisturizer
>>18719725>>18719741I know fully well how to use an oil cleanser. Yes, I am following up with a second cleanser to remove the oil after emulsifying it by adding water. I'm 90% sure I'm sensitive to grapeseed or some other shit which is annoying because thats in so many cleansing oils. I cant just use a cleanser on a face with sunscreen on it. It's not enough and it breaks me out.
>>18720672there's a myth you see on online where you need an oil cleanser to remove oil based products like water proof sunscreen so i didn't know if that's why you were only attempting to use oil cleansers despite them breaking you out. eucerin hydrating cleansing gel has a minimal ingredients list if you want to try that. if you need more cleansing power you can double cleanse with the same cleanser until you've identified the problem

>>18715574I am considering switching from Cerave Retinol to The Ordinary's GHK-Cu peptide serum to save money, and because I believe the GHK is more effective. What are yalls thoughts?
>>18716637Not many people want to admit that diet plays an important role like you suggest. Processed non whole foods will descend one's skin health.
>>18722807Does it even work topically? Do the peptides even last in a serum versus refrigerated and lyophilized?

Is a vitamin c serum necessary? Right now I just use cleanser toner moisturizer. I have pih and I'm seeing people say to use it.

This is by far the most powerful moisturizer Ive ever used. It lets me do tret 0.1% and benzol peroxide NIGHTLY without any burning or dryness or tight feeling. Don't even need moisturizer the next morning anymore.
>>18722917Yeah im pretty sure the chemicals get absorbed through the skin.
My current routine>tretinoin 0.05% 4x per week>hyaluronic acid>argireline>cerave moisturiser>50spf sunscreenIs there anything i should change or add to my routine?
Whats something I can add to my bath that is good for my skin?
my skin fucking burns from these products man
>>18725092Cerave Moisturizing Creamâ„¢ is the only """moisturizer""" I've used that doesn't leave my face dry, red, and stinging after a week of daily usage kek. Well, that and neutrogena hydrogel or w/e it's called, but that shit is expensive for a moisturizer and left my face looking overly wet without actually feeling moisturized. No idea what that was about.

best video on at home microneedling? thoughts on if it's worth the effort / risk?
My routine at 40:Morning - wash face with shampoo in the showerThroughout the day - wash face with cerave anti-oil shit 4-5 times1 (when lazy) to 5 (when I have the capacity to remember) days of the week use tret or more recently tazarotene on the face, wash away after 3 hours or soIt's that simple.
Anyone else done doxycycline?I've been on for 1.5 months, it's helped my face and scalp a lot, had some stomach issues, nothing too bad, but has anyone else had muscle aches/fatigue? I feel like I can barely walk some days
>>18727573>Throughout the day - wash face with cerave anti-oil shit 4-5 timesand that doesn't leave your face absurdly dry?? or maybe your face is compensating by going overdrive with oil production idk
>>18727913>1.5 months on an antibioticnigga you are going to die
>>18728078it's only 50 mg 2x a day
>>18715574I ran out of cleanser and moisturizer and just started washing my face with plain hot water. My skin is better than it's been in my entire adult life. What the hell, guys.

>ask AI how to do physical exfoliation with shit I got home>she recommends sugar + onions oil>I do it for more than a month>decide to ask if there is something better>AI tells me I'm going to die by exfoliating my face with sugar + onions oilWhat should I do now? I was enjoying the results (maybe it's placebo, tho).
>>18728973owned.
>>18728369yes it turns out covering your face in acid makes you look like a ghoul
>>18715574Do you guys have any suggestions for uneven pigmentation? The current routine is>moisturiser>ice roller>vit c serum>low% hyaluronic face cream>8hrs of sleepI mean, the skin around my nose is reddish, around the eyes darkish and the rest of my face has random "brithmark like" brown spots all over.
Any gentler than salicylic acid face cleanser but still can pull out the stubborn black head gunk and normal oily shit? Seems like my pores just get refilled by oil right after washing but yeah, the skin is cleansed. I cant really try those giga ingredients korean stuff since I have seb derm/psoriasis on my facial area, niacinimide especially they just irritate and any scratching gonna get me reddish pigmentation which takes too long to disappear or they just turned into a patch of skin darker or whiter than its surrounding.
>>18729597>random "brithmark like" brown spots all oversounds like melasma. in that case it would be hydroquinone. vit c can help some but not nearly as good. >skin around my nose is reddishthis could be compromised skin barrier and irritation. a barrier cream could help. i personally like lrp cicaplast balm, but there are others.
>>18729671>gentler than salicylic acid face cleanserhave you tried only using it periodically, like every 3 days, and using a normal cleanser other times? Laminaria Ampoule Cleansing Foam is popular for the skin you're describing, but i couldn't use it because it broke me out :(
>>18728369>>18729457this is just a skin barrier problem. you're being to harsh to your skin. find products and methods that work for you. it takes a while to sort out.
>>18715574Can anyone suggest mineral sunscreens? Skin can't tolerate the chemical ones
>>18730680>every 3 days, and using a normal cleanser other times?Yea, I did wait but didnt really wash my face using anything else, just water (filtered) since anything other than basic vaseline or mct oil will irritate it more and grow those seb derm/psoriasis scale.Im pretty much using water now but yeah, pretty hard to get those gunk outta the pores, just massaging my face with water for now.>Laminaria Seems cool, I'm gonna look for the most basic stuff with this thing.Korean product just love to cram too much stuff in them, you wouldnt know which one fucking you up.

I've been using skincare since 14 now I'm almost 20 and my skin never really got better, there were periods it was terribile but it never became decent, I think I've been switching products too much or using too much, I've been thinking about stopping using everything and only washing with water and using sunscreen in the morning and lotion in the evening, and if it doesn't get better going to see a derm, is there anything else I could try or should I just do this?
