Been to Paris and the 16th district. They definitely like slim white/super light cream cotton trousers and navy sweaters. Older guys wear those multi stripe pattern shirts sometimes. And they actually wear the blue chore coats too, but mostly older men.
today's fit for going to the polls to vote for Ralph Norman. I know it looks pretty shoddy but it was 90 degrees today and this was the best I could do
>>18718280>Spier & MackayWhat are some other brands that offer a similar price-to-value ratio? How does Charles Tyrwhitt compare? Although their price seems shit from Canada vs the UK/US stores.
does this count? this is how i dress most days
>>18718630Yes. Anything considered basic leisure clothes for adults 25+ in 1975 is just considered formal wear today.
Anyone ever bought chinos from Dockers? Are they any good? Need a couple pairs and don't want to pay a fortune.
>>18718983Been a while since I tried a pair on but their Eighty-Six line looks /tip/, but also more expensive. Dockers still has some details inside like a waistband and pipin, so they're not made as cheap as humanly possible.I have 2 pairs of 90's dockers off Vinted (see dockers label guide on internet). The material is really thick on one pair and the other is a thin summer pair, both with double pleats. There's also another anon here who said he has lots vintage pairs.
more like Trap Cuckee Larp amirite?
I went to a dinner with two doctors (male and female) and a female med student and some other upper class people and none of them new literal basic clothing terms. Told me I'm being too snobbish and I'm trying to hard because we were talking about the wedding we're going to and I mentioned I wanted a double breasted suit with high waist straight cut pleated trousers with no cuff and a full break.>what are pleats?>what's a break?Fucking retards.

Is the Lemaire piped loafer a good cop for 380 euros?
>>18718280where to get legit high quality persian rugs. Not cheap slop from amazon. Legit traditional ones. I want to this but the real way.

>>18718280Is there a brand like Spier & Mackay for women? I got some clothes from them and the bang for buck is making my wife jelly.
>>18718433>I know it looks pretty shoddy but itAt first glance it looks like you're half dressed standing in your underwear. Toss the tie, tuck the shirt and roll up the sleeves.
>>18720339What's even "Balkan" about that? That's an Indian rug with Hindu-Buddhist mandala art.
>>18720616Stylistically Velasca's Women line maybe? At least 50% more expensive but it's made in italy. You can wait for the sitewide 20% off or catch a larger discount on a sale.
>>18720339>https://chamonixhouse.com/collections/rugsVarious vintage and antique rugs. All legit.
Hello brethren, /fit/izen here. Am a degenerate noob when it comes to clothing brands, especially for what to wear to work. Am wondering where I can find some good chinos. Should I be aiming for a certain material for it to be made out of too? Or keywords for the fit itself, like “fit” or “straight” if I have an athletic build? I apologize for the sheer amount of ignorance on my end.
>>18722046> Am wondering where I can find some good chinosCheck Uniqlo Regular Fit Chino Trousers, Dockers> Should I be aiming for a certain material for it to be made out of too? Chinos means "khaki colored cotton twill trousers" so cotton woven into a "twill" pattern. 100% cotton is standard but many brands sell e.g. 97% cotton, 3% elastane, but /tip/ likes 100% cotton. Many other colors than khaki these days but khaki is standard issue.> Or keywords for the fit itself, like “fit” or “straight” if I have an athletic build? Yeah if you have large thighs you might wanna look for "relaxed" or "loose". You don't wanna have the chinos look like leggings in the thigh area.
>>18722046If you have a pair of pants that fit you well measure them and compare that with the measurements provided by the shop when buying online, if the store doesn't provide measurements it's garbage.
Recs for decent off the rack dress shirts? Or any direct-to-asia custom shirt sites that at least would offer basically the same shirt but for cheaper? I've been getting shirts from proper cloth for a while but I feel in the last few years I feel like they're just not cutting it- I'm seeing the fabric wear out or tear in weird places, pucker in weird areas when I iron them, basically just not worth the $150 I'm paying for each when they don't seem to last that long.
As a chink, any recommendations of brands for this hybrid asian preppy look or is it off to a tailor?
>>18723207https://www.bleudechinestore.com/shanghai/Though it's more of a workwear look that happens to have the traditional buttoning. There's also the garment "bleu de chine" jacket from which the name of the brand comes

Trying to find a pic of William F Buckley Jr in (I think) a plum coloured cord suit with a green shetland jumper. I think it was on die workwear but I can't find it.
are wax capes /tip/? should I buy one?
>>18719455Sounds like you're fully dunning kruger-ing it. Nobody is impressed that you know a few meme fashion terms. They were right to call you try hard. Wear a nice outfit and don't be an annoying fag who has to yap about it to everyone. I'm not trying to be a dick, it just sounds pretty obnoxious for you to prattle off a bunch of stuff that you already know nobody is going to know or care about. And yes to be fair they sound like plebs but so is almost everyone.>>18724761it's a really cool item of clothing but if you wear that, you will look like you're cosplaying, period. Do you want to be one of those weird steampunk fatties that walk around with a top hat and a pocket watch? That's not what /tip/ is about, in fact it's a full rejection of that
>>18723207shanbai core but idk what that has to do with /tip/
>>18725038>it's a really cool item of clothing but if you wear that, you will look like you're cosplaying [...]I get it, I really do, it's a pitfall, but at the same time I think fashion warrants a "dress for the occasion", otherwise you become too insecure to even tuck your t-shirt. I'm planning a hiking trip in the country in a notoriously rainy place... Maybe I should just get a jacket for versatility, but on the other hand I found the cape for a really good price and the look seduces me; I'm holding myself from an impulse purchase
>>18723207It's a no from me.
>>18720147very cool but very expensive. I would go cheaper desu
What trench coat do all of you recommend? And what parts of it make it important? The material, the construction, the features, etc.Saw one bougie trench coat made of a wool silk blend with waterproofing.
>>18725733>this is an acceptable image to post in 2026 /tip/js let this thread die pham
Any tips on determining if a seller is a scalper on eBay, postmark, Etsy? I am looking for vintage pieces. I don’t want to accidentally buy dropshipped garbage either.
>>18719455You sound like an insufferable loser.>med student and some other upper classyou have no idea what the upper class isalso you're a faggot

Trump tarrifs has started to make the price of Kamakura not as great. Just got some stuff from their summer sale. But really its just regular prices. Think my last purchases are going to be this upcoming black friday.

>>18729838Yeah the one in that pic is both too short and also looks like it’s of polyester or some cheap material.
Why do we still have these threads? What is there to discuss about a littéral uniform, on the fashion board nonetheless?
How are you supposed to wear mules, clogs and slippers? They seem to be popular online but I have never seen anyone wear them irl. They are mostly styled with baggy pants so you cant actually see how they look or if they even wear socks with them, and the models are never walking around. How do you avoid your heel constantly slapping on the ground like a beach slipper?
>>18730108Just walk forwards not upwards, also wear socks you sweaty cretin.
>>18730108You don’t. What the fuck is that? That image isn’t TIP. Not in the slightest
